An unpleasant experience

I am very disappointed with my stay at this hotel.

At first glance, the room seemed clean, but the bathroom was in a very poor condition. The shower grout was deteriorated and full of gaps, there was a persistent moldy smell coming through the ventilation, the sink was cracked, and much of the furniture was peeling and badly worn. This is not the standard I expected based on the photos and ratings.

The breakfast was equally disappointing. It was extremely basic, with the same limited selection served every single day. The quality and presentation of some of the cold cuts were particularly unappealing. After several days, breakfast became something to endure rather than enjoy.

What upset me the most was receiving a message asking me to give the hotel a score of 10 on Booking.com. Travelers rely on honest reviews to make informed decisions, and ratings should reflect the actual guest experience, not be requested in advance. Asking guests for perfect scores while ignoring obvious maintenance and quality issues is not acceptable.

In my opinion, this property does not deserve a top rating in its current condition. I believe a score of 5/10 would be a fair reflection of my experience.

I hope management will focus on improving the facilities and guest experience rather than encouraging guests to leave artificially high ratings.

Language problem and Aircon was not working

Schöne Stadt, enttäuschendes Appartement

Die Lage nahe der Altstadt und der Blick über das Marmarameer/ den Bosporus.

Cons:

Das Appartement (Pfeil auf dem Foto) befand sich in einem Nebengebäude an einer Baustelle ca. 300 m vom eigentlichen Hotel entfernt. Die Sauberkeit der Bettwäsche und des Bades war nicht ausreichend. Es war kalt, die Heizung im Zimmer funktionierte nur einen Tag, danach liess sie sich trotz mehrmaliger Bitte um Reparatur nicht "wiederbeleben". Die Tür zum Balkon Richtung blaue Moschee ging nicht zu öffnen, so dass nur 1 Balkon zur Verfügung stand. Wir hatten das Gefühl, diese Probleme existieren schon lange und werden einfach ausgesessen. Daran änderte auch die Freundlichkeit des Rezeptionisten nichts. Wir waren enttäuscht.

La posizione

Cons:

Non eravamo nell'edificio principale ma struttura distaccata e buia e quindi reception raggiungibile solo con WhatsApp. Non abbiamo usufruito della colazione che avevamo purtroppo pagato in quanto era veramente triste per non dire altro, un piatto già pronto messo lì su un tavolo con cose che non davano neanche l'idea di fresco. Vero che il prezzo era basso ma abbiamo poi visto che al pari avremo potuto trovare molto meglio. In bagno non c'era neanche un phon

Considering the price, everything was fine.

A wonderful location; the staff explained everything when we checked in; the room was fine

Cons:

Because of my protein allergy, there was nothing for me to eat at breakfast, so I had to go somewhere else. The rooms are a bit old, in my opinion, but that's okay for the price.

Un poquito la limpieza del baño, había un Poquito de humedad. Nuestra habitación estaba ubicada en otro edificio separado del hotel, por lo que no teníamos acceso a la terraza.
