No repetiremos.
I liked the size of the room and the comfortable bed. That's all.
I’ll start with the check-in experience. This hotel is registered as a 4-star hotel, which means that, according to the standards expected of a hotel in this category, there should be someone available to help you with your luggage. In reality, you stand in line at reception, and once you are checked in, they simply hand you the keys and point you in the general direction. You have to find your room yourself.
The hotel also claims to provide apartments with kitchens, but in reality, there is just a kitchen area — no kettle, no tea, no coffee machine, even though these are amenities you would normally expect in a 4-star hotel. When I pointed this out at reception, I was offered an old kettle, but only if I left a €10 deposit.
There is no water in the room either. Drinking water anywhere on the hotel premises is only available for purchase.
Also, if you arrive around lunchtime and want something to eat, you won’t be able to. The bar is already closed, while the restaurant has not opened yet. There are no restaurants nearby, and the hotel is located far from shops and other places to eat. However, the hotel is full of vending machines where you can pay for water and chips.
So, hungry, we went to relax by the pool. Imagine my surprise when I discovered that you also have to pay €6 for a towel, while a comfortable sunbed costs €40 per day. A nightmare!
The pool is dirty, and there is so much chlorine in the water that it could probably be used to disinfect a toilet. There is no shade around the pool either. And, by the way, there is no beach — the coastline consists of rocks and cliffs.
Then came dinner. I was genuinely shocked to discover that not a single drink is included with dinner — no water, no juice, no tea. Want water? Pay for it. You have to pay for absolutely everything.
In the end, we had to find a shop about a 15-minute walk away, walk there in the heat, and buy something as basic as drinking water.
