Unexpected stay for a funeral
Pros:

Great location with a restaurant on the property and plenty of restaurants within walking distance. Lexington SC is very close by if you need to go shopping for forgotten items. Hotel offers a shuttle to the airport. If I visited this area again Hilton Garden Inn would definitely be my choice.

Great hotel; poor area - literally
Pros:

Breakfast was great - our server was very personable.

Cons:

The hotel itself was great BUT it's abutting a not great area. Looking outside our room window was clearly housing projects; poorly maintained housing projects - that was our view. Interesting that the hotel chose to build here; in the middle of housing projects. I also recommend the bar area in the evening dims the lights - it was full light at night which impacted ambience.

Disappointing
Pros:

My Booking.com states in writing that breakfast was included in the final price. My final invoice includes the cost of my two breakfasts. My wife did not eat breakfast either day. I am requesting a refund for the charges related to my breakfasts.

Cons:

Breakfast charges

Enjoyed Our Family Reunion at Hilton Garden Inn
Pros:

The hotel staff was GREAT, except our maid. I think she did not speak English. The breakfast at the in-house restaurant was sooooooo Good! Portions exceeded expectation & staff was still friendly and accommodating even though they were overwhelmed with so many customers. The refrigerator went out our room & another was brought in within 30 minutes.

Cons:

We asked the maid to reclean the toilet and was told we needed to tell front desk. We went to store for cleaner to do ourselves. There was a bug (thought it was a booger) on side wall next to entrance door of room, was removed with Clorox wipe.
