Professional property host/manager
Hotel needs more exciting entertainment and also more dinner restaurants. Service was great all around the resort. They did have a few meals that you would have to pay a premium for like steak. Edwardo and Caesar were great bartenders at the swim up bar in phase 1.
The staff was very professional and the hotel is kid friendly.
Mostly everything was great. The staff was hit and miss. About 90% were spectacularly friendly but there were those who looked and acted like they didnt want to be there. The breakfast in the morning was missing items that would not be replaced promply (30 minutes), also several dishes were cold.
Great food. Fantastic Service all around.
We have stayed at Rayal Haciendas several times. We always stay the week prior to the resort closure for 1 week for maintenance. This year their breakfast, lunch and dinner offerings were very slim due to a restaurant buffet closure being replaced with a very LIMITED buffet. Since we have been in the past and we know what to expect- this was very disappointing. We ended up with reservations every night and ate the same thing every night for dinner- the point of having multiple restaurants is to have variety. Additionally, their closed restaurants often features dinner shows that weren't available as well. Finally on Friday- they had begun draining the pool early. Pretty annoying that we missed out on multiple things so they can get an early start- next time just close the whole resort for 2 weeks- instead of limiting the experience for paying guests. Usually, we are very satisfied with this resort- otherwise we wouldn't have returned 4x. On a positive note- the staff are very kind, thoughtful, and helpful- always wanting to provide the best service to the guests. They are our favorite part, they always remember us and what we like. We appreciate them especially :)
Friendly and professional staff, focused on details and personalized service, providing an excellent experience.
The hotel staff was extremely pushy, trying to get you to listen to the time share speeches which was an hour and a half. Beaches were not nice, lots of seaweed and very small. There was not enough for kids to do. Those with time shares got top notch service, those without did not. I would not stay here again. Not worth the money.
Timeshare heavy and if you aren’t an owner, they will do anything to get you to attend a presentation. Resort’s staff was extremely helpful, friendly and willing to go above and beyond. They even came to decorate our room for our daughter’s birthday, they made her a beautiful balloon arch, brought her a yummy slice of cake and for us a bottle of champagne. Buffet was not bad, but not great. The other two on site restaurants were good. The pools were clean and the perfect temperature. The grounds were tropical, clean and well maintained. The beach unfortunately does not look like the pictures due to erosion, but still beautiful and well maintained. Overall it was a wonderful stay.
Great service
Safe, beautiful resort. Impeccable service.
Property is nice and wait staff was very helpful. Front desk staff was not helpful and food selection was not great. Room service was the best of alll meals I had. The 2 dinner restaurants that were available we good. Breakfast needed better and a wider variety of options.
Only thing I didn’t like was that if you don’t accept the time share breakfast (optional) their attitude changes towards you
Beach area
The hotel has large and comfortable rooms, room service is amazing, staff personnel super kind and helpful, they have a very good transportation and tours agency: Thomas More, really reliable. The Front desk and Concierge Diana were super friendly.
Out of their food service the best restaurant is "Los Murales", is a specialty restaurant but the quality of the food is really good.
The buffet area was really clean and the service staff very professional, however the variety of the food could be better.
Pool areas and amenities are family oriented, but the beach is not that good, too much sea weed.
Overall, this hotel has a good price-quality relation.
Resort was wonderful... a couple of downfalls.... everything shuts down I think around 10 P.M., so if you like to hang out at night this is not the place, It didn't bother us as much as we had a balcony to hang out if we weren't ready for bed.... another thing that almost ruined our stay, the staff/ concierge are really pushy about selling/pushing a timeshare type thing they've got going on, every time we walked to the lobby or walked around in general we always had someone stops us to talk to us about it, even tho we expressed we weren't interested, but they would proceed to ask us" but why not", literally would waste a good 15 mins every time someone approached us.... but once we told our concierge we were not interested, our concierge was not interested in being helpful. Food was great, entertainment was wonderful, but other than those 2 things, we had a wonderful time.... would we be go back? NO, I don't like the "selling a product" multiple times a day. every time I saw a staff member walk up to us, I dreaded talking them.
I recently stayed at The Royal Haciendas in Playa del Carmen. The resort itself is beautiful, with clean and spacious rooms, well-kept grounds, and a relaxing atmosphere. Housekeeping was consistent, and most staff were polite.
Unfortunately, many parts of the stay were disappointing. Room service was extremely slow — every order took about an hour to arrive, and guests are required to wait another full hour before placing a second order. When I followed up, the staff on the phone were rude rather than helpful. The pools had too much chlorine, making swimming uncomfortable. The beach was full of seaweed and essentially unusable, which was a big letdown for a beachfront resort.
The food was another weak point. While the buffets had plenty of options, the quality was poor — dishes felt like they were made just to fill space, with little flavor or freshness. It was disappointing to see variety without quality.
Overall, while the property itself is attractive, the poor food, unusable beach, chlorine-heavy pools, and slow, unfriendly service made the stay fall far below expectations. I hope management addresses these issues, as the resort has potential but currently does not deliver the standard it promises.
Our family was welcomed by concierge… he was very nice since he did his best to sign you in for presentation to become member … but rest of people in the restaurants , breakfast I think was the worst ! Food was bad and they were so unpleasant … I think first time it happen to us find place with such a bad staff members .. in la cart
Fantastic resort to spend your vacation with the family. There are plenty of amenities and activities every day like pool volleyball, dance learning, fitness classes, cooking classes and many more. Love karaoke nights! Food and drinks were tasty and available all day.
Walkable
Great place to be in family, food was great snd the people who work there were super friendly and nice. Unfortunately the beach area was no very nice
