Pros:

Very good location close to the national park.
The room was a good size.

Cons:

The service, especially at dinner and breakfast, was not very good. The pictures on booking showed a totally different standard. Everything was a bit run down.

Pros:

Great location for the national park, good sized room with nice view. Huge queues of cars, buses and taxis on the road outside, by an hour after the cable car opened it was at a complete standstill with the car park full and nowhere to go. So at peak season, this was late October, you certainly can't stay in Sokcho and expect to get all the way up to the national park if you don't go very, very, early. Many people were having to turn round, taxis were dropping people off over 2 km down the road. Outside peak season you might be better off using a hotel in Sokcho and travelling up to the park, if the hotels in Sokcho are much cheaper

Cons:

A little tired, very much like the type of London hotel it aspires to be. Much more expensive than other, better, hotels we've had in South Korea, but location probably pays a large role in that. We stayed 2 nights, but with hindsight would have been better off staying in Sokcho on night 2 to give us more dining options (there's nothing open at night near the hotel apart from the hotel itself) and to be there for the express bus terminal in the morning

Pleasant stay on edge of national park.
Pros:

Directly at entrance to National Park and there is a bus stop outside to get into Sokcho. I arrived via Taxi after getting bus from Seoul to Sokcho. But doable via public transport. All straight forward. If getting bus recommend booking tickets in advance at station for return journey as they sell out. Sokcho was much bigger city than I had anticipated but did not explore that but it is easy to get bus to and from it.
The entrance to national park has a few places to eat and have coffee, so could easily be here for a few days and not need to venture into Sokcho. Would not usually choose a British themed hotel like this but only one in location. Did not have breakfast or dinner so cannot comment on that. The hotel is comfortable but could do with some updating. Having access to National Park early was beneficial. Would stay minimum of 2 / 3 nights and do the various hikes. A mini trip from Seoul was worth it imo but would advise midweek as park can get really busy.

Cons:

Nothing of significance.

Cons:

창문은 못열게 돼있고 배란다는 벌레로 가득했음
특히나 가미줄이 크다랗게 창문의 반을 차지해서 벌레가 거미줄에 걸리고 죽는걸 실시간으로 본거
방음도 안돼서 10시까지 떠드는 소리가 복도에 가득차고 프론트에 말하니 퉁명스럽게 대처하고 한국에도 이런호텔이 있나 했음 기냥 여관이었음 다음엔 다시는 켄싱턴 호텔은 안가고 싶음

Pros:

just 5 -10 minutes walking to the entrance of Seorak national park. a lot of parking places, so no worry for parking. though some reviews has mentioned that the hotel facilities are quite old, but my room western style suite is in good condition.
the breakfast buffet is excellent.

Cons:

it's expensive so I have to book a suit with only 1 room with 2 double bed for 4 persons. okay for 1 night.

It is a nice classy hotel

Cons:

The service is non-existent. Nobody helps you with the luggage. Nobody is helpful with your questions. They do not try to make your stay better, but it feels like a transaction. Very disappointing for a 4 star hotel with such prices.

Well located hotel but the charm doesn’t make up for the disappointing evening food options.
Pros:

I loved the location - five minutes walk from the park entrance. Room was nice and overall it was quite charming.
Breakfast buffet was good but not included in room cost.
Staff were generally excellent.

Cons:

Overall the hotel is quite tired, worn carpets.
Food options in the evening were very limited.
The Queens restaurant only offered an overpriced English menu with steaks and lobster etc.
No room service - you must choose from a very limited in-room dining menu and then collect from the restaurant, it is not brought to your room
Unfortunately there is nowhere else to eat at night, I found myself making instant noodles.

Pros:

The hotel was near the national park, which was the only good thing besides the professional and very nice service personal (they even called us a taxi on the last day to get to the bus terminal). The park can be reached by foot in a few minutes, and there is a 24 h convenience store in the park were we got our food.

Cons:

The room was clearly old and in dire need of renovation. There were strange flies in the bathroom and the air conditioning, we have been informed, is turned of in the evening for a heating system. I don't know how sensitive koreans are concerning cold rooms. But we had to open the balcony door because the room was stifling hot at night.

Idéalement situé à l’entrée du parc national.
Le calme de la nuit.
Bonne literie.
Si vous aimez ce qui est british… la déco.

Cons:

La salle de bain trop petite.
L’isolation phonique avec le couloir et les autres chambres.
Les matériaux anciens demandent beaucoup de soin (gonds et poignées de porte,…)

Pros:

Nähe zum Park!
Gute Auswahl am Frühstücksbuffet.
24/7 Check in möglich.

Cons:

Ausstattung teilweise veraltet und sehr einfach gehalten.
Räumlichkeiten etwas staubig und nicht komplett sauber.
Teilweise Löscher und Flecken auf den Handtüchern gehabt.
Fehlende Steckdosenlaisten oder auch Nachtische.

Pour un départ de randonnée hôtel parfait
