Vriendelijk personeel, zalig uitzicht over het meer, heerlijke bedden, uitgebreid ontbijtbuffet en vooral een rustige setting en toch op wandelafstand van centrum Ascona.
Wunderschöne Lage hoch über dem Lago Maggiore, tolle Sicht auf den See und die Berge, wunderschönes Hotel, schöner Garten, sehr nettes Zimmer mit schönem Badezimmer, fantastisches Essen, ganz schöne Ambiente, sehr nettes und aufmerksames Personal, rundum eine Wohltat hier einige Tage verbringen zu dürfen. Das Personal hat ein sehr nettes und wertschätzendes Verhältnis untereinander.

The location and the outdoor surroundings of the hotel are pleasant, and some members of staff were friendly. Unfortunately, these positive aspects were overshadowed by serious problems with our room and the way our complaints were handled.
The biggest problem was the bathroom. Every time we showered, a significant amount of water escaped from the shower area and flooded the bathroom floor. On the first occasions, the water even spread towards the room before we realized how serious the problem was. We then had to use several towels on the floor every time we showered just to contain the water.
We reported this problem to the hotel three separate times during our stay, but no effective solution was provided. We were repeatedly given extra towels instead of having the problem repaired or being offered another room. On our final night, the bathroom flooded again and we had to leave wet towels covering the floor overnight.
This stay was also meant to celebrate my fiancée's birthday. I had contacted the hotel well in advance, and the hotel had confirmed in writing that they usually prepare a small birthday surprise and that a nice table would be reserved for us. Unfortunately, on the evening itself, the birthday arrangement appeared to have been forgotten. After approximately an hour, a very small cupcake with a candle was eventually brought to our table. After all the advance communication, this was extremely disappointing.
Our room was above the restaurant and had very little view, with trees directly in front of it. We also found the breakfast selection very limited.
Overall, the most disappointing aspect was not simply that problems occurred, but that despite repeatedly informing the hotel, no effective solution was offered during our four-night stay.

Wir haben uns im Hotel Collinetta gleich sehr wohl gefühlt. Man merkt, dass das Hotel gut gepflegt und immer wieder renoviert wurde. Von unserem klimatisierten Zimmer aus hatten wir einen fantastischen Blick auf den Lago Maggiore. Für unsere E-Bikes gab es einen bestens ausgerüsteten Fahrradraum. Das Frühstück war sehr lecker. Wir haben auch geschätzt, dass es im Salon noch einen Tisch mit allerlei Zeitungslektüre hatte. Wir haben während unseres 4-tägigen Aufenthaltes zweimal im Restaurant gegessen und waren von der exquisiten Küche begeistert. Auch das gut dimensionierte Hallenbad war ein Plus, in dem wir uns nach einer Wanderung oder nach einer Fahrradtour gerne erfrischt haben. Das Personal war sehr aufmerksam und freundlich und unsere Zimmer waren meist schon nach dem Frühstück gereinigt und die Betten gemacht. Wir sind sicher nicht zum letzten Mal hier gewesen.
We had a most enjoyable stay this past June. A beautiful setting and delightful grounds. The hotel has a perfect combination of calm Swiss efficiency and Italian savoir-faire, combining centuries of artisanal mastery with an innate sense of style, warmth, and hospitality
We look forward to returning in 2027.

Wir wollten am Abend ca gegen 22.00 h auf der Restaurantterrasse Wein bestellen; uns wurde schroff mitgeteilt, dass man sich die Getränke selber an der Bar holen müsse: das geht überhaupt nicht.
Der Aschenbecher auf der Terasse unseres Zimmers war bei der Ankunft nicht geleert...
Wie immer war unser Aufenthalt im Collinetta wunderbar. Für uns einfach das beste Frühstück in der Region und die Lage oberhalb vom See, begeistert uns seit Jahren. Wir freuen uns schon auf den nächsten Besuch.
Das Poolhaus ist in die Jahre gekommen. Aber hier wird sicher in Zukunft modernisiert. Für eine Abkühlung reicht es allemal.
