Pros:

Convinient to drive into Saintes and access other areas, Parking and budget style accomodation
Pros:

Location was good to drive into central Saintes and to drive out to other places e.g Cognac. Air condtioning was very efficient as ti was 40 degrees when we were there. Double bed was small but comfortable. Very little space in the room. Parking was good and there was an restaurant and very good boulangerie nearby.
Although we only wanted the hotel to be a place to rest at the end of the day, there was not much outside space to sit . Staff very really friendly and iit did fulfill our intention for a 3 night stop to be able to easily explore Nantes and the surrounding areas. I think most peolple use the hotel as an onvernight stop as it's not comfortable enough to linger around.

Cons:

The room was small and basic and we had thought Best Western hotels might be a bit better than this room and we don't recall being offered different grades of room when we booked. It was awkward to access the room as you went donw some steps and had to shuffle around to get your bag or case out of the way to be able to open the door. The bathroom was small but good shower etc... All clean.
