Good hotel with some minor flaws.
Pros:

Friendly helpful staff. Great food for dinner. Good choice for breakfast.

Cons:

Bedroom a little noisy. Heating? Not enough to disturb sleep but a bit off putting.
If you have an EV like me, you might find the reserved space ICEd. Was a space for me but no longer a Charge Place Scotland which meant a bit more faffing around than felt necessary.

Suitable for a night over only
Pros:

Big room, clean, good water pressure in bathroom, front desk representative Tommy was very friendly and helpful. Big car park and electric charging for cars as well. Close to a Tesco store.

Cons:

Poor breakfast, the mattress was too soft and uncomfortable, room view to parking car and the room in total is very basic. Had to open suitcase on the floor.

Nice hotel close to the Harbor
Pros:

Close to the Ferry Harbor so ideal to stay at if you are going to the Orkneys. Good food in the restaurant and very friendly staff.

Cons:

The beds could have been more comfortable and the blinds didn’t block the outside light entirely so it was always somewhat bright in the room. But those were only minor issues, overall the stay was great.

A nice stay
Pros:

Staff very friendly, the view was nice seeing the town, food is good, slept good

Cons:

Couldn't have a shower as there was no mat. Didnt realise there was a sign telling me where they were but didnt want to go back down nothing serious. A nice stay

Nice room and good meal

Cons:

Ridiculously high sink in bathroom
Unknown to us when booking the room there was a large function on during our stay and initially we were banished to the rather basic public bar which had no atmosphere!

Cons:

Frühstücksbuffet könnte besser sein. Es wurde nicht aufgefüllt.

Top stop on the NC500
Pros:

Staff were friendly and helpful, room was a decent size and clean. We ate in the restaurant in the evening and had fresh caught local fish cooked beautifully. In the morning the breakfast was plentiful and nice and to top all that there was safe parking for our motorcycle.
