The room location, it was very quiet.
The bathroom, there was a small step we kept tripping on, and the shower was hard to get in and out of. The room would not be suitable for an older person or anyone with injuries. The bathroom is not very well laid out, very small and stepping over into a shower with a small shub just does not work for the space.
The room was Excellent with a great view. The staff were very friendly staff. The hotel was in a great location.
Sauna / Gym not as advertised. Sauna did not work and this was one of the reasons for choosing this hotel over others.
The location rooms and service were excellent
The lobby was so cold. There was no heating so to have a drink we have to have coats and scarves on.
Excellent, excellent, excellent value for money. Stunning views and great location. Wonderful, friendly staff who pay attention to details with housekeeping. Really enjoyed my stay here, definitely my top choice if i return to Christchurch.

A luxury feel, without the price tag. Centrally located to Regent St dining. Comfy bed, plenty of space in the bathroom.
Too much furniture (we stacked it), so we had somewhere to put our suitcases.

Very small squishy rooms. No space for a sofa, coffee or dining table in the room, which we like to have.
Expensive for what you get, plus parking is an additional $40 per night, which seems very steep to me. That is whether you use Fable's valet parking service or Wilson's overnight parking block near by.
We booked at Fable because it is very close to the Isaac Theatre, where we had a show to go to. Booked the room at a special price- around $135 (usually over $200), and thought this was a bargain until realising parking would be an additional $40 per night.
