Would stay again. Recommend it. Perfect location for restaurants and bars nearby.

Not a 4 star hotel.
Pros:

Good location and some of the staff were lovely, but overall this did not feel like a 4-star hotel.

We paid extra for a late checkout, yet we were still woken up before the agreed checkout time, which was really disappointing.

The room itself felt tired and poorly maintained. There was a stain on the carpet, a broken wardrobe, a broken blind rail, and only one blind with no curtains. The TV was also very outdated and didn’t support screen mirroring or Chromecast.

For a hotel advertising itself as 4-star, I would expect a much better standard of room, maintenance and facilities.

The location is definitely a plus and some staff were friendly, but based on the room and our overall experience, I don’t think the 4-star rating reflects the actual standard.

First time to Christchurch! Perfect location. Close to restaurants and cafes etc all within walking distance.

Excellent proximity to the Central City.

Cons:

Limited undercover parking but there is a Wilson's uncovered park right next door. $4.50 per half hour until the night rate kicks in at 4pm

Cons:

they need to upgrade some of their facilities. Especially bathrooms.
Having stayed at Fable Auckland I was very expecting the same luxury, but was sorely disappointed
As above staff were great until something went wrong. Then they disappeared

Cons:

I had a queen size bed room facing the tram area . Quite noisy at night , small room and walls and furniture ( chair/, tables ) quite tired feeling . Shower bath bit awkward and dated feeling . Shower pressure average .
