Great hotel
Pros:

The properly was clean & modern. Multiple charging ports. Comfortable bed which didn’t just have 2 sheets & quilt. Wood floor appreciated also as opposed to most hotels having carpets which you never know if they have been cleaned. The restaurant food was delicious. Service on the front desk was great.
Valet service was quick and easy.
Really pleased with our choice to stay here as a stop over.

If you must go to Bakersfield, you must stay at the Padre.
Pros:

Beautifully renovated hotel, phenomenal staff. The valet parking is a nice amenity.

We visit family in Bakersfield fairly often, and every other hotel we have stayed at was extremely disappointing, and some were outright terrible. The Padre was just a little more expensive than the hotels we typically stay at in Bakersfield, but it was a huge upgrade. Will definitely book again.

Cons:

My only real critique of this hotel would be the bathroom. The lighting in over the vanity is insufficient and unflattering in color and placement. They do provide lighted makeup mirrors, but they weren't large or bright enough.

The showers were smaller than they appeared in the pictures, but they were not too small. The tiles are beautiful. The bench seat was a nice touch, but the location of the provided products are behind you if you sit. Also, there isn't a shelf for your own products, and absence of a hand-held shower head seems like an oversight for what was certainly an expensive renovation.
