Location
Check-in was not straightforward and caused confusion with the room and key. The room facilities are poorly equipped. The restaurant offered very limited choices. Room service is also limited, including its hours of operation.
I would like to comment on the improved cleanliness of the gym changing room at Farnborough Village. Thank you Tracey B for your hard work and cheery manner … you have made a big difference.

We would like to thank Tyler at reception for his care and attention. Arriving for a family funeral Tyler has really looked after us with care and compassion. Even the following day finding us within the hotel to send his condolences and ensure the funeral had gone well and that we were ok.
Bedrooms were ok, not quite as good as other village hotels
Charge extra for parking and use of facilities which I did not notice when booking. When eating they brought starter and mains out together. Was too much to eat all at once so went to cancel the desserts and the bar maid wouldn’t refund me for the desserts even though they had not made them yet. Cookie skillet was cold and rock hard and not warm and soft. All round just a bit of a disappointment.
I am a frequent business traveller and have recently enjoyed the pleasure of staying at Village Hotel Farnborough for en extended period of time - typically 3-4 days per week over six months January-June 2026.
Another renowned hotel in the town is my employers preferred accommodation. However I elected to change location and take advance of the leisure facilities at The Village. Which are excellent, particularly the commercial-grade gym.
What I found within the first few weeks of repeated lodging was a friendly, welcoming team. My arrival was always greeted personally (not always the case with Village self check-in), and every request was handled promptly and with authentic customer care.
A huge thanks to the that looked after my room requests, dining, leisure activity - namely Sheryl (Blue), Aaron, Wendy, Tyler. Your hospitality made the extended working away from home much more bearable. And I look forward to enjoy your hospitality in the near future.
A final word to Maria. The Barista and Manager of the onsite Starbucks; every guest treated with genuine care and attentive service - names and orders committed to memory - and a warm conversation that gave positive momentum to everyone’s day. A new friendship made and a daily ritual that is missed. Thank you and see you next time…
Very good standard throughout
Nothing to be honest
Like the hotel's location, good size, nice bar and restaurant area, comfortable rooms, spacious, good size walk in showers and bathrooms, tea/coffee and kettle. Different Decor in some rooms really well done, good service during our meetings/lunch on this visit I had a view, last stay got stuck looking at a concrete wall
The kitchen ran out of some breakfast items quite early, but I had enough to eat..otherwise nothing to dislike, staff were helpful
My wife and I had a tough day at work decided to stop at Village Hotel for a meal and drink - the bar staff were highly inexperienced albeit pleasant - the food we ordered was cold and tough (chicken share platter ) HOWEVER the evening was saved after we asked for the manager Racquel (Spanish) was absolutely amazing in trying to rectify the situation- she professionally assessed the meal - honestly and not defensively agreed it was unacceptable and offered us an alternative meal.
A bad meal saved by a good manager - the hotel must work on training and improving its kitchen staff and bar staff
Not quite the 5 star I was expecting. On a par with Premier Inn which is fine.
No wardrobe.

Great hotel if you are here for a business trip
Breakfast could gave been a bit better. Not enough fresh fruit and trays were not filled up until people told them to.
