Thank you for a wonderful , stress free stay at the Shang.
Pros:

We had one morning of breakfast and it was very good . The menu catered mainly to the Chinese tastebud,,; perhaps it should add a few more western items , such as frankfurters

Cons:

Overall, there was nothing not to like. Kudos to the staff for trying to protect us from scamming taxi drivers.

Suspect you can get a lot better value elsewhere
Pros:

The location was good, staff were friendly

Cons:

On the surface things looked nice but at soon as you looked closer everything was worn, stained and old. In need of a big refurbishment. We stayed on the 4th floor and the small was stale and moist. Was expecting a lot better considering the name. I can imagine if you have kids staying with you it would be good as seemed to be a lot of things for them to do. But overall not great.

Nice rooms
Pros:

The rooms were really nice, and the beds were massive. Everything looks flash, and the staff were lovely. The pool table at the bar was fun too! Breakfast had heaps of options.

Cons:

I’m not sure if it was the time of year we travelled, but the facilities weren’t open. The outside pool wasn’t open, the go karts etc weren’t going. We got a free room upgrade, which I assume was to combat that, but it was a bit of a let down as these were some of the reasons we booked, knowing we were a bit out of town. The games room is not a games room, but instead some plush toy claw games.

Pros:

ホテルは非常に大きな美しい前庭があり、素晴らしい。ロビーの右側にチェックインカウンターがある。ロビーは香り豊かで安心させられる。部屋いっぱいの大きな窓からのカルスト地形の眺めは桂林川下りをワクワクさせた。朝食は種類豊富であるが、もう一つ味が洗練されていれば最高でした。ホテル正門前の地元の手ごろな料理屋さんの1つの皿が小さく数多く注文できおいしかった。

Cons:

ホテルの1階のロビーに旅行会社が入っており、川下りのチケットの販売をしているがコスパがイマイチ。

Usual stuff, can get much nicer boutique hotels in Guilinat a fraction of the price with a much better experience

Overall is a the usual shangrila experience, if you like this kind of stuff. Family facilities are the perk we were looking for and the reason we booked the last two nights before departure

Cons:

Many of the facilities were not included in the price, quite annoying, overall overpriced, air conditioning made us all sick. On weekends is packed

Pros:

Facility not too bad, my kids enjoyed the indoor swimming pool.

Cons:

We had very bad experience in this hotel, we have waited nearly 3 hrs for the room to be ready when check in, the staff there definitely need more training, no smiles, no greeting, no apologies, we have to chase for the room card few times! During breakfast we even been asked to pay extra breakfast fee for the youngest child, which was paid already! There are many other small things that made us think the money spent definitely not worth as a 5 star hotel!
