Ohne Einschränkung zu empfehlen.
Pros:

Zuerst hatten wir ein kleines Zimmer für drei Nächte im EG. Auf Nachfrage erhielten wir dann ohne Aufpreis ein größeres im OG mit Aussicht auf die Berge. Das Personal ist unglaublich bemüht, den Gästen es so angenehm wie möglich zu machen.
Der fangfrische Catfish zum Abendessen war spitze.

Cons:

Es war etwas kühl in der Lobby, aber nach dem bereitgestellten kostenlosen Kaffe war das ok.

GREAT staff, great hotel especially for a small town, well done!
Pros:

Great breakfast, good variety of quality foods. Perhaps our best breakfast in Iceland.

Staff was WONDERFUL, helpful, kind and accepted every request with a smile! Can't say enough positive things about their great staff!

Pros:

Super freundliches Personal, immer hilfsbereit, schöne Zimmer, schöner Bereich zum Relaxen, tolles Abendessen (ich durfte an dem Lamm-Abend mit traditionellen Gerichten teilnehmen), die kleine Brauerei direkt gegenüber

Cons:

Sauna Bereich, Kältebecken wie auch Whirlpool könnten mit einer Trennwand zu den Zimmern mehr Privatsphäre gewinnen

Einfaches Hotel, einfacher Service

Die Lage des Hotels nahe der Ringstraße 1, die passende Position zu unserer Routenplanung.

Cons:

Vorweg: Die (vermutliche) Leiterin des Hauses und ein Teil des Personals haben sich große Mühe gegeben, unseren Ärger zu kompensieren. Das wissen wir zu schätzen. Aber dennoch:
Das gebuchte Zimmer erschien uns im Vergleich zu den vorherigen Hotelbuchungen gleicher Preiskategorie wesentlich schlechter in der Qualität und Ausstattung. Ein probeweise durchgeführter Preischeck zu den aktuellen Zimmerpreisen zeigte auch deutlich niedrigere Preise im Vergleich zu unserer Buchung.
Bei unserer Ankunft haben wir einen Tisch für das Abendessen reserviert. Es wurde uns mitgeteilt, dass es ein Buffet gebe und die Tischreservierung für 19:00 Uhr bestätigt. Um 19:00 Uhr waren aber alle Tische besetzt, wir wurden gebeten, in einer halben Stunde wiederzukommen. Um 19:30 Uhr wurde dann vor unseren Augen ein freier Tisch vergeben. Erst unsere folgende intensive Ansprache des Themas brachte uns einen Tisch. So etwas ist unnötig wie ein Kropf und verdirbt einem die gute Laune.

good Hotel in a small village
Pros:

When we arrived our room was upgraded, so it was a good size, the man on reception was friendly. We didn't find the bed very comfortable. we could help ourselves to hot drinks through the day, which was good. We had dinner on 2 evenings, food was fine, but we didn't have breakfast. The parking is very good outside.
