The location was excellent - quite rural but accessible
All was good and as expected for a listed property
Beautiful room, lovely grounds and great staff
Let down by food
The staff were friendly and accommodating and the rooms and location was lovely
It was costly but worth it
I loved it all! Room was huge, grounds were extensive and beautiful, bar had a great selelction and the dinner menu was wonderful, with great provision for anyone needing Gluten-free food. Staff were helpful, especially Scarlett. And of course the weather! Great that we had a fan in our room - we needed it!
A pool would have been nice, but if you haven't got one, you haven't got one. But apart from that there was very little to fault.
Great staff. We didn't ask for anything. However, we left knowing,if we did ask. They would had granted our ask. Such beautiful surroundings, and a realy relaxing place to be. 10 out of 10, all around.
Squeaky bed. But hay ho.
Perfect location and gardens
The bedroom in the heatwave was HOT, even with the fans provided!
Beautiful setting, professional staff.
Nothing
The hotel is set in beautiful grounds, unfortunately we only had one night here and couldn't enjoy them fully. The room was spotlessly clean and spacious. There were plenty of breakfast choices. The staff were all very helpful too.
Checking in was a teeny bit slow, probably because we arrived at night, so the bar man (who was really really lovely and helpful) was doubling as the receptionist. Not a massive problem, more stress for him I think.
Quiet location
Location and premesis

Very pleasantly located in pretty gardens.
Nothing
Excellent location for the many local sites of interest. We particularly enjoyed walking from the hotel down to Cromford Mills and along the canal. The hotel has benefitted from extensive refurbishment and is well presented and appointed. It is situated in extensive very well managed grounds. The staff were very helpful and pleasant. In addition to having breakfast each morning, we dined in each evening and were very impressed with the standard of cuisine.
