Lovely building and beautiful setting
Nothing we didn’t like.
Lovely place to stay, and the staff are a real credit to the place.
Everything was great
Room was very spacious and furnishings very smart. Bathroom was really clean and the shower very nice with eco friendly shampoo, body wash and conditioner. The pillows and duvet were very comfortable. The dining room was really nice and a good selection for breakfast. Food was excellent. Absolutely beautiful area, quiet grounds. Close to Matlock so easy to get there by taxi.
The mattress was firmer than I like but not enough to cause issues.

The staff were very friendly and service was great, but feel there are some training issues.
Exceptional food and breakfast. Immaculately clean throughout. Staff were a real pleasure to speak with and welcoming, nothing was too much trouble. Stunning hotel, beautifully decorated throughout to a high standard. Beautiful grounds to walk around or relax in.
Staff could do with a tad more training in customer experience in the restaurant, but did not spoil our stay in anyway.

Location was great as were the surrounding gardens. Lovelly place to sit out and have a relaxing drink. All the staff were very friendly and on top of their jobs.
Only because of the heat wave in England we struggled with the heat in the bedroom although we had a fan.

Noise in bedroom from kitchen extractor fan.
Plus although the weather was fine and warm, the radiators were pushing out heat in the morning,!!!!
