The cleanliness was terrible for 3 days I asked for room to be cleaned. Cobwebs pubic hair and dust. The fan was unusable due to dust. See photo On night 2 it still wasn't clean. The manager on duty got me a drink at the bar but when they opened the glass wash it stank and the staff even said pwor that stinks! On night 3 we came home to the ground floor room window wide open and infested with large spiders. We vaccines up 15 large legged spiders! I had to ask for a vacuum to vacuum them. We did not sleep the man at the hotel told us he was scared of spiders. Security lacking as all of our laptops and tech were in the room and the window left open.
The vacuum stank of cheese. I had 3 nights refunded them on my 4th night found headlice on my bedding and in the bathroom! Vile discussing hotel. Carpets were vile. Not spot cleaned black Marks from spilled drinks and a clear difference on colour! Marks left on the loo it was as bad as it gets. We ended up leaving and staying on my sister's sofa. I would not recommend this hotel. The staff were good at promising things would be done but they weren't.
Rooms were very nice and clean. Breakfast was good.
Very warm in the room at times. No fridge in the room to keep drinks cool especially when it’s very warm. No air conditioning especially in the bedrooms. Not much choice on the evening meal menu. Only 3 choices for the main course and desert. Breakfast good but expensive especially if you wanted a cooked breakfast. Rarely someone at reception to make enquiries. Seem to be short staffed.
A small but well presented room which was comfortable
The steep stairs, but that seems to be unavoidable in UK.

climb the slope to the Hotel is a bit hard to senior. If there is shuttle bus from Hotel to Train Station, it will be perfect. Since there will be no taxi at the taxi station.

The chef and waiter were overworked
The location and the amazing staff!
Outdated, dingy wallpaper (torn in places)carpets and chipped paintwork in shared areas. Toilets near dining room are in a very poor state of repair.
Decor in the bedroom/s was rather institutional looking. The bathroom/s were old-fashioned and very basic. The shower didn’t work. We were moved to a room in a sister hotel as a consequence. However, the second hotel had annoying piped music playing in the rooms below us. The traffic from the seafront was also noisy and so it was difficult to get to sleep until very late when the traffic had died down.
The meals were excellent flavourful . So after 4 nights of trying all the dishes on the menu I asked to personally thank the chef Uthpala from Srilanka.
View in my bedroom was amazing .
Night desk staff member was it Rob was very kind and friendly and helped plan my itinerary of places to visit .

If you are looking for cool and corporate professionalism, you should probably find another hotel. If, however, you dream of a cozy, exclusive and authentic hotel staffed by real people, who will go out of their way to give you a wonderful holiday, then you should definitely consider this hotel: The staff welcomes you with a smile and a tour of the premises, and through our five-day stay we only met kind, helpful and lovely people. The breakfast is fresh and plentiful, and if you want to choose one of the special offers on the menu, you should try the avocado on sourdough bread with a poached egg on top: absolutely addictive.
The house itself is beautiful with lots of quaint and charming little nooks and crannies, and the view of the harbour and Mount's Bay is spectacular.
Situated just 7 minutes' walk from the bus terminal, there is easy access to all the beautiful hiking opportunities and other sights on the peninsula. After a long day hiking the coastal path, the heated pool and a drink from the hotel bar is a perfect reward. We hope to come back another time.
