The location is great if you are visiting downtown Salida and the surrounding area.
Pros:

The gentleman at the front desk was very kind and let us check in a little early. We had our daughters wedding the day before and were in desperate need of a nap.

Cons:

Our room was on the 2nd floor which is really street level and was quite noisy.

As a regular traveller Hampton Inn & Suites is now in my list of acceptable chains.
Pros:

Nice small pool which was clean, large rooms, plenty of parking. Zero percent products in the bathroom.

Cons:

Plastic cutlery for breakfast. Would be great if it was closer to town centre.

The staff was suber. Very nice and large designated smoking area.

Cons:

The blueprint for this facility was way off - the back faced the main road and the entry faced the rear (not visible from the main road). The person who okayed the development plans should be fired!

Pros:

Breakfast was good lots of options and good hours. pool and hot tub was clean.

Cons:

could have been more affordable. $300.00+ a night is a lot . I mean you had mountain views by not super close to anything.

breakfast is bad. Stop serving waffle and oatmeal without any reason.

The a/c temperature setting in the restaurant is very cold. Can't understand why it is always set at 61F.

Pros:

I loved the view!! The room was nice and big.

Cons:

I use a walker and I had 2 bags and a small cooler slung over my shoulder. Neither young man at the counter asked me if I needed help. Another customer helped me and carried my bags for me.
