The hotel itself is in a nice location with good facilities and a pleasant setting by the sea.
During my 2‑day stay, I was treated very disrespectfully by a security guard. I was wearing a normal, classy and fully covered dress when he stopped me. He asked if I was staying here, and when I said yes, he demanded my room number in a very aggressive tone, as if attacking me. I gave it to confirm I was a resident, but he then told me my dress was not allowed on the terrace. When I asked him to show me the official dress rules so I could understand, he refused and told me to ask reception the next day.
Later when I spoke to reception, they clearly said: “Absolutely you can wear a dress, no problem.” They showed me the actual rules: only short bikinis, slippers and tank tops are not permitted — there is no rule against dresses at all. I had even worn exactly the same dress earlier that same day and nobody said anything, so it was never about my clothing.
The guard was shouting and had no manners. Even after reception and the manager confirmed there was nothing wrong, they never asked him to apologise. It felt like he just wanted to show he was in charge, or even expected extra money to let me pass. This behaviour left me feeling so upset and humiliated that I cried all night. I expected much better from a hotel of this standard
By the beach the resort is well located in a nice and very secure area.
I’ve been going there for years and I could really see significant improvements and a conscious effort in welcoming and nurturing guests. I asked a few things (extra sheets, food) not necessarily in the menu or booklet and I got it immediately. This would not have happened in the past. Keep on
