It’s very Saigon, just perfect
The property is situated on the river, which was pretty and quiet.
The property needed some care. Entry to hotel was basic/poor decoratively.No one except porter to greet as reception was at the rear of hotel.Confussion re lenght of stay ran on through our two night stay and refund was unresolved on departure with booking partner saying hotel would fix and hotelsaying they were not responsible for late amendments.
Hand rail on staircase varnish chipped,soft furnishings had seen better days.
Reception staff were not flexible, or confident in their approach-poor English contributed to lack of understanding.
Poor quality fittings/linen/towels/bathroom ammnetities in room.
A boat transfer to the city is advertised as running 'through out the day' Reality was it ran once a day to the city at 10.00 and return was not until 1630.First day, the 1630 boat did not even arrive, so we had to contact the hotel for support as we were not sure how to get back to the property as it was our first day in Saigon.
Breakfast quality poor; little in the way of baked goods for example.
We had paid for the most expensive room and had hoped for more.

palestra minuscola allestita in una stanza con vetrata con vista sulla piscina e composta da un tapis roulant, un'ellittica ed una macchina multifunzionale, abbastanza datate, ed una rastrelliera con i manubri. Già due persone vi si ostacolerebbero a vicenda. Colazione a la carte con un menù veramente ridotto e la possibilità di scegliere solo un piatto e due bevande, caffè incluso;o 0gni richiesta in più è a pagamento. Nell'area tutt'intorno alla villa ci sono dei lavori in corso che, come si usa fare in Vietnam, vengono fatti soprattutto di notte, il che rende l'accesso all'area disagevole di giorno e rumorosa di notte.

Beautiful location and atmosphere. We loved the boat shuttle into district 1
It is a lovely building directly on the river. This proximity was a highlight. The boat transfer to and from District 1 was greatly appreciated. The rooms are extremely comfortable and spacious. And the staff go above and beyond to assist in a friendly atmosphere. District 2 is a beautiful area and there are many restaurants and shops within walking distance. The pool is delightful and the small gym adequately fitted out. We can highly recommend Villa Song.
The breakfast is à la carte and a little lacking in choice. You are allowed one dish and one drink as part of the room price. But what is there is delicious. Be careful if you have trouble with mobility as the central spiral staircase could be challenging if your room is on the top floor. There is no lift.
Excellent staff and service. Quiet on the river location, huge salt water pool, no young children, beautiful, French colonial architecture.

Breakfasts were excellent. A good choice between western and local meals. Presentation was good and staff excellent- friendly and efficient.
Unfortunately the boat into the city was not operating on a regular schedule so we had to take taxis more often than we wanted to.
We got the wrong room, no balcony!
