Comfortable sleep, delicious breakfast and luxury spa bath
Pros:

We liked that we were in a separate annex with our dogs and able to park near. Staff very friendly, delicious breakfast. Bed comfortable and the spa bath was a nice treat.

Cons:

We didn’t dislike anything but our room was a bit “tired” in places like the vertical
blinds at the window but the room was very clean and comfortable. We felt it was excellent value for money compared to other places we have booked as we go further North on our tour of Scotland.

Pros:

Lounge area and our evening meal. Owners were very helpful and accommodating. Bikes were kept secure in wedding function room. Hotel was fully booked.

Cons:

In our double room bedroom, the bed was a small double and the mattress sunk in the middle.

Lovely, fresh Scottish air!
Pros:

The staff were so lovely and accommodating, really friendly. They were very good at providing a vegan menu for one of us and we felt very looked after.

Cons:

It is a little bit dated… but that is part of the charm. The town itself is a little bit run down but the hills and greenery surrounded it make that all worth it.

Camera veramente piena di polvere sui mobili e la testata del letto, piena di ragnatele. Anche negli spazi comuni polvere ovunque. È un peccato perché per il resto siamo stati molto bene, dovrebbero rivedere la pulizia generale

Lucky find in August!
Pros:

We had to find last minute accommodation, which can prove tricky in August. Luckily , we got a room here - which had a very comfortable bed! We ate in the bar on all 3 evenings, & thoroughly enjoyed our meals, from the very reasonably priced menu.
Breakfast too is freshly cooked, & served by very pleasant staff. So glad they had a room for us!

Very nice hotel with great options and good value for money
Pros:

Lovely place, with good sized rooms and very well kept grounds. Booked a table for an evening meal in the dog friendly bar area, food was superb with 4 clean plates. Breakfast was again fabulous with everything you could think of, cereal, fruit, fruit juice, coffee and tea as well as a full Scottish breakfast. The fact that there is a clean public footpath 50 yards down the lane that goes in both directions for miles is a great dog walk is a big bonus. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Cons:

It is an older property and as such had a few sticky doors, we were in room 7 in the main building upstairs. The main communal door was very noisy (creaky) when opened and our room door needed a good push to open and close which could disturb other residents. Window in room 7 needed a bit of attention to the hinge. These are minor niggles though and if I could have booked two rooms for our return journey a week later I wouldn’t have hesitated, alas there was no availability. I will definitely use again
