No breakfast but dinner at pub was yummy.

Cons:

The room was hot and I couldn't throw doona off as there was no sheet. I had to stick my legs out because I was too hot...that was 3am

Pros:

The building is amazing from the road entry to your room. It is an impressive space. The staff were accommodating and helpful. Breakfast was great. The room was a good size, and the seat under the window was lovely. The y are really quiet. There are plenty of lounge spaces outside of the rooms, and a lovely fireplace in the lounge on the ground floor.

Wonderful stay, thanks to the staff. Caught the train up for the first time and found it very easy.
Pros:

We stayed for one night in June and found the staff extremely friendly. We love coming to this hotel for special occasions and were not disappointed. We caught the train from Sydney and the hotel wasn't far from Katoomba station. The room we stayed in had a double bed and two singles, which suited us perfectly. It was very clean and had all the amenities one would hope for. I love getting bottles of water when we stay, even though you can drink the tap water, it just has a nice touch. The room was wonderfully warm, with a large bathroom and large welcoming towels. I love the charm of the building and look forward to staying there again, hopefully longer.

Such a lovely stay and we will definitely come again.
Pros:

Excellent staff!! Warm, welcoming, real people who wanted to be helpful. Loved the lounge, and the wonderful period details of all the rooms, the old lift. Lovely bathroom. Such a lovely experience overall.

Cons:

Room was a little too warm. We didn't realise we could turn the heater off/down as it was behind the curtain.
Fridge too noisy, so we turned it off.

Only other issue was step UP to bathroom, which is possibly a bit of a trip hazard for elderly people.
