To be perfectly honest, we were expecting a run-of-the-mill restaurant attached to the hotel. This is entirely different. The atmosphere is absolutely lovely, which is entirely down to the very prifessional and extremely polite snd friendly staff - shouts out in particular to Jay, Amber, Lili, Kim, Kelvin and Joe, who have all looked after us superbly all week. The food is fantastic and unbelievable value. Service is brilliant, nothing is ever too much trouble. I can't recommend highly enough and we'll certainly be back soon.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but unfortunately I felt compelled to on this occasion. Our stay this weekend was a genuine disappointment, particularly considering the premium price we paid. Quite simply, the hotel did not offer value for money. The biggest issue was the complete lack of air conditioning in the bedrooms. During the warm weather the rooms became unbearably hot, making it extremely difficult to sleep. In this day and age, it is difficult to understand why a modern hotel has chosen not to install air conditioning. It feels like nothing more than a cost-saving measure at the expense of guests' comfort. To make matters worse, the refrigerator in one of our rooms was not working, meaning we were unable to keep drinks cool during the high temperatures. Our bathroom also did not provide hair conditioner, despite other rooms within our party having it available. This inconsistency only added to the feeling that standards and attention to detail were lacking. The overall condition of the room was also disappointing. The net curtains were tattered and damaged, and the shower mat was mouldy-details that should never be overlooked in a hotel charging these rates. I had intended to raise these issues when checking out, but despite leaving at around 10:45am there was nobody present at reception, so I was unable to speak to anyone about our concerns. I travel extensively throughout Europe on both business and leisure, staying in hotels on a regular basis. Regrettably, this was one of the poorest hotel experiences I can remember in many years. Given the price we paid, I expected a modern, comfortable, and well-maintained hotel. Instead, I left feeling thoroughly disappointed. I cannot recommend this hotel to others and would certainly not choose to stay here again.
We choose the George Washington for our wedding venue in may, I would highly recommend as everything from the planning to our big day was done to the highest standard. It was everything we wished for & just how we wanted it to be. Everyone was fantastic. The room & the food was lovely too. Thank you to everyone that was involved we are really grateful.

The room was a typical hotel room. Well spaced and nice large bed. It was quiet. Staff, when we saw them, were friendly.
Pillows were very uncomfortable and my biggest downer was the cost of the room even though breakfast wasn't included!! It just happened to be a good location for us to walk to a family house but if there had been an alternative that had been cheaper we would have taken that.
Size of room was good, Breakfast was ok.
Extraction Fan in bathroom wasn't working, bed was very uncomfortable, (2 x beds pushed together!) Our room ceiling was as thin as a fag paper! you could hear every footstep, and even guests turning in their sleep in the room above us.
