Pros:

Fabulous place to stay
Pros:

Location is perfect for walking around centre of Ghent. All staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was quiet, spacious, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was fabulous. It was great to have the swimming pool to relax in after a days sightseeing. We stayed four nights and felt it was one of the best city hotels that we have stayed in. If we are back in Ghent we will definately book again

Disappointed this time
Pros:

This is our 3rd time here and whilst it’s usually really good this time it fell short, our aircon was faulty and despite staff resetting it the temperature would not drop below 26 degrees overnight. This made for a very restless and uncomfortable stay in room 111. Especially as it’s a premium room with a premium price tag. Family who were in other rooms were able to get as low as 17 degrees overnight.

A gem of a hotel
Pros:

This hotel is beautifully situated in the middle of the tourist area. Its a maze of a hotel utilising old buildings rather than a modern block so each room is individual. Ours was extremely comfortable and spacious, with a great view, massive bed, comfortable pillows and an amazing bathroom with twin basins, free standing bath and shower. Special mention to the toilet with built in bottom shower, we loved it.
Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very tasty and so nice to take your coffee outside and watch the river life go by.
I have tried other hotels in Gent and this is by far the best. This was our second visit to this one and I will return.

Do yourself a favor and stay here.
Pros:

Great location and amenities (namely pool) for any type of traveler. River front balcony and A/C that kept up with heat wave.

Cons:

Bathroom setup not my fave. Lots of space could have accommodated more storage or seating area.

Short but pleasant stay
Pros:

We stayed only one night to visit Ghent during our trip in Netherlands and we liked a lot!
It's a very charming hotel directly overlooking the River Lys, few steps far from the Gravensteen castle. If you arrive by car, be careful because it's in the pedestrian zone; I recommend reserving their parking space.
The location is fantastic for exploring Ghent on foot.
Beautiful and spacious rooms, fantastic breakfast. Bathroom seems recently refurbished and it has a fantastic shower.
Very friendly and helpful staff.
I highly recommend it.
