Hotel Da Vinci

A lovely little hotel well placed in Montecatino but some of the rudest staff and some of the worst food for dinner.

We had a truly lovely stay at Da Vinci Hotel in Montecatini Terme. The hotel itself is comfortable, clean, and very well located—quiet, yet just a short walk from the town centre and restaurants. Breakfast was fresh and varied, and the overall atmosphere very relaxing.

What really made our stay special was the exceptional service at reception, especially from Paola. She was warm, welcoming, and always ready to help with anything we needed. Her kindness, professionalism, and attention to detail made us feel genuinely cared for from the moment we arrived. It’s rare to come across someone who makes such a positive difference to a stay.

Thanks to Paola and the rest of the team, we felt very comfortable throughout our visit and would happily return. We would highly recommend Da Vinci Hotel to anyone visiting Montecatini Terme.

Excellent hotel with friendly helpful staff. Very clean and the breakfast and dinner was very good. Good information about the town.

Ontbijt was zeer uitgebreid. Mooie lounge en buitenterras. Dicht bij het centrum en restaurants. Park en treinstation dicht bij en ook treintje naar Montecatini-Terme Alto op loopafstand.

My initial reaction was disappointment, we booked a “Premier double room with balcony” but I wouldn’t say there was anything premier about it. The place is looking dated and I wouldn’t say say very basic. My first disappointment was that there was no aircon in the room, the ventilation fan wasn’t working and when questioned with the night receptionist we were just told “not possible”. I asked if they had electric fans and was told “not possible” so the only way to sleep was to leave the balcony door open - the room is on a busy and noisy street so we were kept awake most of the night. I asked if it was possible to move rooms - “not possible”. On the 3rd night they fixed the ventilation fan in our room and we were able to drop the fan temp down to 20, still not ideal but better.

The hotel is well located, easily got to via train from Pisa airport, and Montecantini Alto made our holiday!

We found Montecantini lacking in good choice restaurants (everywhere seems to have the same menu choices).

We fancied the pool but it’s a bit of a walk from the hotel, on the roof of another hotel, incredibly tight for space and NO SHADE!! Not great in 32-35 degree heat.

All in all disappointing and definitely not what I would class as 4 star or premier

Great location for travelling around Montecatini and Florence and Siena.
Great restaurants and coffee stops.

Smelly room- dirty floors- not 4 star

Could have varied the hot breakfast presentation.

Just back from five days in Montecatini. It’s an excellent location for travel into Florence, Lucca and Pisa. Train travel is very reliable at cheap. €5.60 to Florence. Much easier than driving into the city. The hotel is located near to the town centre, a little noisy in the evening. However, closer to the restaurant.
Fred Erika is worthy of a mention. She will advise you of the sights to see and how best to travel.

Das Hotel liegt in der Nähe des Zentrums. Das Frühstück war sehr reichhaltig und von guter Qualität. Die Zimmer waren grosszügig mit allem, was es braucht ausgestattet.

Abgesehen vom Empfang am ersten Tag was das Personal aufmerksam und teils sehr freundlich und humorvoll.
