Pros:

We had a very comfortable stay at the hotel. We booked three rooms.

Cons:

Other guests were noisy the night we stayed over. The shower pressure in one room was like a waterfall, but nice and hot.

Lebendig, authentisch und echt
Pros:

Ein Hotel mit Geschichte, das den Veränderungen in der Umgebung trotzte, sich baulich immer wieder anpasste und doch seinen traditionellen Charme bewahrte. Hippe junge Leute, die sowohl an der Bar, als auch im Restaurant bedienen und quasi nebenbei noch die Hotelgäste einchecken und es trotzdem schaffen, dabei aufmerksam zu bleiben und Tipps zu geben. Das wirkt zwar ein bisschen hektisch aber auch lebendig, authentisch und echt. Am Abend im Restaurant wurde ein Charity-Event für Kinder durchgeführt zu dem sich die lokale Einwohnerschaft traf und feierte. Man war mittendrin, verstand manchmal wenig bis nichts vom bierselig Gesagten aber fühlte sich angenommen und wohl. Hier kann man auch ein paar Tage länger bleiben und die grandiose Umgebung erkunden und genießen. Denn die Lage des Hotels an der Bucht von Opononi und Omapere ist anders nicht zu bezeichnen.

Cons:

Das Gesamtpaket ist stimmig und passt.

Überraschend schöner Zwischenstopp!
Pros:

Sehr schönes Hotel, auch wenn das Foto von außen etwas verlebt erscheint. Das ist nur das Foto vom Restaurant, was eine nette Bierlokation mit engagierter Sportsbar (Rugby) ist.
Die Zimmer sind im Nebengebäude, sehr schön einem Seebad absprechend und ruhig, es dei denn, der Nachbar schnarcht. ; )
Bett bequem, sehr netteres Personal.

Was a special couple of days , trying to fish at low tide with my adult kids. Location amazing !
Pros:

Breaky was great, didn't require anything else . Not one grumpy staff member plus room was so so clean. Loved the atmosphere as had a feeling the whanau all pitched in

Cons:

Kids in the carpark one night. However I was very tired.

Felt like home away from home
Pros:

I loved the location and the privacy. The option to order food on site was a dream after driving 5 hours for an emergency in Waima. I loved the hospitality of all the staff I came across with. The breakfast inclusive with stay was a beautiful touch to our stay with plenty of parking for my disability van and my sons car too. Great to be close to the beach but still far enough for privacy. Excellent Bar Staff and excellent hospitality all round - i will be booking again with my whanau.

Cons:

A few of the power points were not working and the stove had a mind of its own sometimes it work sometimes it did not.

Great stay in Opononi with best view in town.
Pros:

Beautiful location and great view from the suite room.
Plenty of space within the suite which is up behind the pub so very quiet.
Can’t comment on the lower motel rooms which are adjacent to the hotel but would recommend the suite.
Very handy to the pub for food.

Pros:

The view was awesome as always & the hotel staff were the best you could ever deal with. The bar was top shelf. Loved it.

Unfortunately they were doing structual renovations to the hotel but apart from that,I absolutely enjoyed my stay.

Local hotel with great sea view
Pros:

We had one of the rooms facing the sea, with fantastic views. It is a busy part of town with people coming and going to the hotel, jetty and dairy early in the evening, however it was quieter later on being a weeknight. The room was small but comfortable.

Cons:

Wifi did not work, either in the room or in hotel bar.
