Too noisy!
Pros:

The property is well situated on Haymarket, with several bus routes and the tram within minutes of the entrance. The room was very spacious. Check-in was simple, and the staff were friendly

Cons:

The location on a major thoroughfare and single-glazed windows mean that the room was incredibly noisy, even at night. I slept very poorly because of this. The decor in my room was rather dated, and there were no electrical sockets at the writing desk.

Kleines Hotel das für eine Nacht definitiv ausreichend ist

Günstig und zweckmäßige Austattung

Cons:

Mit schweren Koffern in den 2. Stock ist eine Herausforderung, Fenster direkt zur Hauptstraße wäre ok aber Fenster lässt sich nicht schließen, Straßenlärm die ganze Nacht. Für eine Nacht zur Durchreise geht es auf jeden Fall.

Die Unterkunft ist perfekt gelegen, direkt Anschluss zu den öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln und fußläufig alles wunderbar zu erreichen

Cons:

Einen Tag waren wir. Dort hatten ein Zimmer im zweiten Stock., bis das Gepäck im zweiten Stock ist, ist schon anstrengend und nicht für alle machbar!
Im Anschluss waren wir noch mal vier Nächte und hatten ein unteres Zimmer im Erdgeschoss angeblich behindertengerecht, was für die Toilette auf gar keinen Fall zu treffen kann !

Perfect location for a city break in Edinburgh
Pros:

The location was perfect. Within walking distance of all the sights, plenty of cafes and restaurants nearby, also convenience stores and pharmacies, etc. The building is just opposite the Haymarket station and bus stop with direct line to and from the airport. Very convenient. We were in a double room at the rear of the building so there was no noise heard from the busy street in front of the building. There was a pleasant garden view from the window, much nicer than I was expecting. Our room was compact but had all the amenities we needed including a kettle, iron and ironing board, TV, etc. Access to and from the building was easy with the provided key card. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Cons:

The bed is a squeaky metal bed and the mattress could be more comfortable. Also the toilet seat is very heavy and slammed down a couple of times quite startlingly.

Pros:

Great location. Warm welcome. Comfortable older house. The bed was comfortable and tea and coffee was left in the room .

Cons:

The door to the en suite had been replaced by a curtain. Not so private for sharing facilities. The window was in need of repair so a portion of it was blocked out. The price was reasonable for Edinburgh but I was disappointed by the standard of the room.

The hotel was around a 20 minute walk from the city centre.

Cons:

There were no staff (other than cleaners) when we arrived at 12pm, no hot water, doors were locked after 10pm with no staff in the hotel. Bed was squeaky and uncomfortable. We were advised we would be able to leave our luggage on the day of departure with the staff who would be at the hotel at 10am, there were no staff at 10:10am and we had to wander the hotel to find a cleaner to ask if we could leave our luggage. When we arrived to collect our luggage at 2pm it had been left sitting outside the office so anyone could have taken it.

Pros:

It is a very old hotel, probably requiring some renovations. However, it is cheap, the location is great, staff is friendly, so if you don't want to splurge on accommodation and aren't super picky about cleanliness (the sheets and towels were clean, though), it might be the right choice.

Cons:

Overall, very old facilities. The water in the shower took around 5 minutes to warm up, and the water pressure was really bad. The carpeted floors are begging for replacement.
