You can do better
Pros:

Location good if you want to be in the center of the most touristy & expensive area of Medellin. Most rooms have no windows. If you are willing to pay more for a room with a balcony those are splendid - there are few of those. Place is clean. Breakfast is mediocre at best. They’ll tell you you cannot have any visitors in your hotel room and they will tell you they state this policy on their website. They do not. See for yourself. From experience they are very inconsistent about this policy - perhaps it depends on who is working and how they perceive any visitors. I would find another place to stay where their policies are clearly stated annd consistently applied and their breakfasts are worth paying for.

Central and quiet
Pros:

Very central, 15 min to metro station, lots of good restaurants around. In the middle of all the action but a quiet place

Cons:

A little dark, but not really an issue if you do no plan to stay a lot of time in the room

Hotel moderne El Poblado
Pros:

L'hôtel est top, très bien décoré. L'emplacement est excellent. Francesco et Andreas nous ont très bien accueillis et donné des excellents conseils sur les restaurants à côté.

Cons:

À part pour les chambres exécutives du dernier étage, les fenêtres des autres chambres donnent sur la tres belle cour de l'hôtel mais ne peuvent pas s'ouvrir.

Pros:

Staff were very friendly. Bed super comfy. Room felt modern. Loved the fresh water everyday. Rooftop and lobby very cosy. Location is good for El Poblado, close to the restaurants/bars but no street noise at night.

Cons:

Breakfast was ok. Bathroom door is a sliding door that was clunky to use.
