Very nice hotel, lovely clean rooms, lovely location, great breakfast
It was very hot in the room however we did stay during very hot weather so understandable.
The room was spacious,clean. The breakfast is served at the main hotel building , 2 min walking distance from the lodge. There are EV charging points available. The dinner at the smokehouse was nice. There are saunas available to use.
The smokehouse is a bit pricey: a seafood plate meant to be for 2ppl is 35 eur, which contains 2pieces of prawn, 2 slices of fish (a small slice of salmon, and the other is some white fish, maybe cod), 1 piece of boiled potato cut in half, and a bucket of mussels... I believe for this price this is below satisfaction. If we weren't order another food ,this one alone would have definitely left us hungry.
Location. Breakfast was good. Entertainment nightly.
Breakfast not served in Lodge, had to go out, walk up a steep main entrance and carpark, across a road, and up a another steep main entrance to main hotel. We had an 86yr old and an 88yr old in our party, so this situation was not ideal. I would not have booked the Lodge had I known. It was not mentioned on the website. Thankfully, it didn't rain.
Also, we went to listen to the music in the hotel. Walked back to the Lodge at 11pm, after dark, and there was not adequate lighting in the car park and on the road surface. It wasn't a safe experience especially for our elderly guests.
Also, we stayed two nights, and our rooms were not serviced.
