A great receptionist... and that's where it ends
Pros:

Yet another average, overpriced establishment along the 101... There are just not many options, so this one will do for most. This sits right by the highway, so quite noisy at night. the room is decent in size, but quite worn, old, just don't look at the details up close. Decent water pressure... a perfectly average 2-star hotel, which makes it a poor stay by global standards. Given the lack of decent options around town, this is likely one of the better ones, but don't think for a second that this is a good hotel. The nice Scottish receptionist was clearly the highlight!

I was told our room would be discounted but I have not seen it yet.
Pros:

The front desk man in the PM was very nice and helpful.
The lady at checkout was nice

Cons:

Our room we were put in had black mold on the ceiling for what appeared to be a leak from above and there was also black mold on the floor in the corners of the tub that did not leak.

Pros:

Wow what a place this was...right on hwy 101, super clean and convenient, comfortable beds, nice clean bathroom, and decent breakfast. We liked our stay.

Cons:

TV is little outdated in the room, can upgrade to smart TV so kids can watch movies of their choice after the full day of sightseeing 😉
Breakfast can include some hot vegetarian choice to top it off

Cons:

Beds are old and sunk in; pillows flat as a pancake. Our door was very hard to open, the bathtub did not drain, the sauna was out of order, breakfast had powdered scramble eggs, and there was no sausage or bacon. They had a vent on the side where people park on the street and it was blowing the most foul sewage smell; my daughter and I both gagged , she vomited , because she's pregnant, and the smell was overwhelming. No designated pets area. No USB ports.

Great staff and nice rooms.
Pros:

The staff was wonderful and super accommodating. The room was nice. The pool and hot tub needs a significant cleaning and refresh as there was mold and peeling paint. Everything else was great!
