Good hotel at a perfect location, just off the beaten path in Montmartre. I stayed for one night only and did not have breakfast due to an early flight. All was clean, and the staff was nice and responsible. The bed is comfortable, and the decor is nice. They had a good air conditioner and all amenities in order.

Experienced solo Paris visitor; The Gérando is top of my list for this area and price range
Pros:

An excellent experience. Reception team very welcoming, helpful and multilingual. The hotel service team are lovely also.
My double room was perfect. I’m not going to speak to room sizes as they are in the listings and it is up to you how much you want to spend per square metre in Paris. Suffice to say this room maximised the space with a comfortable bed, desk and chair and open-plan hanging/shelves. The AC functioned beautifully at the tail-end of a heatwave. Thick blackout curtains worked well on full height, fully opening windows with privacy nets. The compact bathroom was modern, immaculate and joy-of-joys the shower doors did not leak and did not flood the floor. I've stayed in a few similarly priced places in Paris and the Gérando tops the list for modern design, cleanliness, function and service.
It also has a lift! I was on the fifth floor and took the stairs a few times but was grateful for a ride up occasionally.
I was here for a concert in the area plus a few days in museums. I walked to the Seine and back so that I could enjoy the Paris streets (about an hour one way on foot), but of course there are two metro lines only minutes walk away. As a solo female traveller I felt safe and at ease, even when coming back late alone after the gig. It was my first experience of Montmartre. Watch out for the hawkers in the really touristy areas. They were not as bad as I was expecting though. They aren’t overly pushy and a polite but firm 'non, merci' will suffice. The police are discreet but visible.
Check out the Montmartre museum which is absolutely lovely, if art and the history of this part of Paris is of interest to you. The whole area is packed with well-established eateries too. You will be spoiled for choice.
I am very glad that I chose the Gérando for my trip. I might bring my husband next time!

Pros:

Reception very friendly and helpful. Location was really good. Was an extreme heatwave when there so air con was great. Lots of cafes, bars and restaurants nearby. Not like some areas chock full of tourists more a "living" neighbourhood. 10 mins walk from station
