Not a good stay and there’s better value elsewhere around Edinburgh
Cons:

Was very hot, edges of beds are so loose that you could fall off. First time staying we weren’t charged for parking, second time we were charged parking and staff were unhelpful and didn’t really care with what we had to say. A triple deluxe room is a 2 bed room (one double and one single bed)

1800s architecture

Cons:

23 days in UK & Ireland. 16 hotels. Cumberland had: worst cleanliness (not cleaned under the bedsince 1800s); worst breakfast, a burnt omlette on the outside, still uncooked inside ( and you had to order your menu items the day before); worst coffee (including gas stations). Worst bedding (appeared to BE from the 1800s): worst towels (threadbare); 3rd worst for accessibility; 2nd worst for parking (which you pay extra for): and the least friendly front desk person . And they wouldnt even turn on the garden hose that was right there to help us wash off the car. WTF? This was a place where they made you feel you were inconveniencing them by staying there. We love Edinburgh, but we wont back to Cumberland.

Pros:

The garden is quite lovely and the building from the outside is beautiful.
Quite near the centre.
The complementary tea and biscuits were a really nice touch.

Cons:

The parking lot is quite narrow.
The bathroom could have been cleaner. There was hair on the shower drain and even kettle. The towels should be replaced since they were a bit frayed.

Easy to access.

Bathroom could have been cleaner.
Stairs to the room were too narrow, which makes it difficult with suitcases and for people over 50 years old.

Bien pero limpieza escasa.
Pros:

Bien situado, con paradas de bus muy cercanas, es bonito y con encanto. La habitación de cinco personas es muy espaciosa y con un ventanal hermoso.
La gran mayoría del personal es muy amable.

Cons:

La limpieza por lo general deja mucho que desear, por desgracia, había algunas telarañas en los techos. Entraron una vez para limpiar la habitación y el suelo no se limpió mucho que digamos.
En todo caso, parece una tónica bastante general en Edimburgo.
