The location
My room was dark and gloomy
Lovely location set well back from the road on a private driveway. Excellent, plentiful parking. Friendly, welcoming staff, very clean and tidy facilities. Lovely sunny terrace. Comfortable ensuite room with bath and shower over. Not far away from the city but far enough to be fairly tranquil. Close to the river and a pleasant green area. Bus stops in close proximity with regular buses into the city centre.
Possibly a more varied menu would have been nice but that's just nit-picking really. The food I had was beautifully cooked and promptly served by attentive staff.
I had paid extra to check in early, however, my room was not ready whilst my friend requested the early check in later than myself, her room was ready before 12 midday. I had to use my friends room to get changed for the wedding I was attending. Basically paid extra for nothing.

The staff were super helpful and the food in the restaurant first class, the suite was very spacious and comfortable.
The sink in the bathroom took forever to empty and needs attention. The water for the spa bath kept alternating between hot and cold and couldn’t be regulated, just annoying really. Why don’t UK hotels put net curtains up at the windows of ground floor rooms like they do elsewhere, you have to close the curtains if you want privacy and to stop nosy children standing at the window staring at you….

Very loud music on both nights and very hot rooms not ideal when you have a 4 year old trying to sleep.
The bed was comfy and the manager gave us our breakfast for free when we explained how poorly we where treated by a member of staff who felt the need to humiliated my mum when she asked for a heater. Some people shouldn't have jobs in hospitality
The very rude receptionist who treated my mother in a very disgusting way.
Oh and if ur looking for a peaceful place to stay do not stay here they have a bar downstairs which has music blarring until midnight. If u want a place to get pissed and dance the night away perfect. But do not go if your expecting a good night sleep and peaceful rest.

Extremely clean, excellent facilities, did the job. The staff are very helpful, particularly Annie who went above and beyond to make my stay a pleasant one. I’m very grateful for the welcome I received, particularly as a solo guest. Even in the midst of 2 events happening in the hotel, Annie was kind and attentive and made sure I had everything I needed. I would definitely stay here again.
