Nice hotel in a rather bleak, run-down town
Pros:

Loved the view from my room, facing the water. Loved the friendly warm staff. The hotel is a convenient short distance from the railway station. And there’s a huge ASDA across the road, should you want things like fresh fruit, juices, yoghurt, etc.

Cons:

I wish the hotel had more fresh fruit on hand, even just a bowl of apples or oranges, at the reception desk. Otherwise it’s grand.

The Curran Court Hotel was perfect for our needs.
Pros:

Excellent location so close to the port. Night porter was very helpful for our late hours check-in. Great communication prior to arrival.

Suited us well for a one night stay and handy fpr the ferry port. A very comfortable hotel.
Pros:

Breakfast offered a good selection to suit all tastes and I opted for porridge which was made for me soecially and it was very good. Very friendly, helpful staff.

Cons:

The only problem we encountered was water seeping out of the wetroom onto the slippy tiles. I had a fall here two years ago so we used the drip mat and several towels on the floor to ensure good footing coming out of the shower.

The hotel was clean and spacious

Cons:

The staff had to be found.
The building was extremely over heated.

At breakfast when I asked about the continental breakfast I was told majority was removed to prevent the coach party of clearing it out.

Pros:

Staf were freindly and helpfull. The food was excelent at night, but the brakefast was just ok. The ingredients they put in the cooked breakfast could be of better quality.
