Pros:

El hotel está cerca del centro, al lado del Mercado de Ballarò. La habitación tenía un balcón que daba a la calle. La tarifa incluía desayuno consistente en un surtido de bollería, zumo y café.

Cons:

El hotel se encuentra en la segunda y tercera planta de un edificio. Durante mi estancia, parecía que el hotel estaba o en obras o de pintura. Las zonas comunes estaban muy sucias y llenas de polvo, y había un olor un poco desagradable. La habitación no era muy amplia y era difícil acceder a una de las camas. El baño era pequeño.

El hotel estaba muy limpio, estaban haciendo trabajos de actualización que para nada afectaba nuestra estancia.
La ubicación es perfecta cerca de los principales monumentos y junto al mercado de Ballaro. Perfecto para visitar Palermo y alrededores

Pros:

The location is truly Italian life. Next to a vibrant original streetfood market. It can be noisy. The lift to all the floors was much appreciated.

Cons:

The loud music until late at night can become a bit much,if you sleep with the open window.

Está céntrico, cerca del mercado Ballaró, que es digno de ver. El personal fue amable.blas habitaciones son como viejunas pero el baño estaba reformado.

Cons:

Está en obras, no molesta el ruido pero la imagen al entrar, da un poco de pánico.

No hesitation in recommending Hotel Cortese
Pros:

Excellent location, walkable to everywhere, felt perfectly safe. Occasional late night/early morning noise outside, but I can't imagine where that's not the case in Palermo.
Plentiful breakfast, though all sweet so less good for the health conscious!
Comfortable room with a small but perfectly adequate bathroom. (A larger person might struggle a bit in the shower).

Cons:

Nothing major at all. The soap dispenser in the shower didn't work, but the host gave me more sachets of shower gel/shampoo. The sink plug mechanism was dodgy, but it functioned OK.
