Basic Strandhotel für 2-3 Nächte absolut zu empfehlen
Pros:

Grundsätzlich ein gut gelegenes Strandhotel. Das Personal gibt sich mühe und ist sehr freundlich. Der Strand bzw die Felsformation ist gut zum baden…

Cons:

… aber alles ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen und etwas verbraucht. Ein kompletter Umbau oder mal gewisse Sachen neu streichen, ersetzen, etc. würde dem Ganzen wirklich gut tun. Warum die Parkplätze vor dem Hotel kosten, bleibt mir ein Rätsel

Disappointing hotel stay
Pros:

My husband and I stayed at Barbara Piran Beach Hotel recently. We were satisfied with many things, such as the location right on the beach, in a quiet area and a walking distance to the lovely town of Piran. Staff members were really nice and friendly, especially those working in the outdoor bar.
We were however not so happy about a couple of things.
First, judging from the photos of the hotel, we expected a room with a balcony. We got room #508 which turned out to have no balcony, only windows from about waist high overlooking the beach. Nice view, but small windows made the room feel a bit cramped. See photos. We asked the reception if we could get another room, and they offered us a room on the ground floor overlooking the car park which in our opinion was a worse option.
Second, among amenities listed on Tripadvisor, is a safe. There was no safe deposit box in the room.
Third, the room was rather short of furniture. Apart from a twin bed and bedside tables, the room only had one chair and a desk making it difficult to find a place for your belongings.
Fourth, the shower was not working properly,
while showering the showerhead would swing back and forth depending on the water pressure. We complained about this to the reception and they said they would send a technician the next morning. We don't know if they ever did contact a technician, but the shower was the same throughout our stay.
Fifth, after a storm one night, the outdoor area needed cleaning of sand and leaves plus the sun umbrellas were covered in sand. This was not taken care of by the staff. The outdoor area is really nice, but should have daily caretaking. Putting up trash cans would also be helpful in keeping the area nice and clean.
Sixth, if you come to breakfast after 9 am, the buffet is wearing rather thin although breakfast is scheduled until 10:30.

Absolutely amazing hotel, great for guests with dogs!
Pros:

Great location, beautiful views from the balcony, amazing breakfast, staff is kind and welcoming and they are also very welcoming to dogs (a bowl, own pillow and a treat were waiting our dog in our hotel room!)
