A humble hotel within a city that likes to party hard
Pros:

Close to the entertainment district of Nagoya, the hotel felt welcoming and humble. Though the staff felt a bit uptight towards foreign visitors, I did feel that the staff took their job seriously.
Though the Higashiyama Line takes a bit of walking, the restaurants are plentiful and all have their distinct charm. Though I do recommend you know some basic Japanese when going to the restaurants near the hotel, there are also plenty restaurants for foreign tourists to visit closer to Sakae or Sakaemachi.

I recommend this hotel if shopping is in your list of things to do or if you want to try out the local cuisines of Nagoya.

Cons:

Again, the staff were a bit uptight. This isn't a bad thing especially when I noticed how well the staff does their job. But foreign tourists that do not speak Japanese, need to keep in mind that cultures will clash.
