Beautiful Hotel. A little crowded the night we arrived (lots of events) seems like a popular hub in Atlanta. Nice ambience and facilities
Location and access. My wife needed a hotel for the night after arriving in ATL. As we trust Marriott to be able to cater for her needs in comfort and it was on the sky train at the airport it was a simple choice.
My wife has allergies so we requested a feather free room. All requests to the hotel had zero response from customer service or guest relations confirming the request. When my daughter arrived to check in (she was staying with my wife) she showed the check in person all the correspondence and thankfully was reassured that the room was feather free, only it wasn’t. My wife arrived and found that the pillows was feather free but the duvet was not. This shouldn’t be a problem just ring house keeping and they change right ? Wrong. Despite running twice and being told someone is in the way nobody arrived she ended up sleeping without a cover and using a large towel as an extra ‘blanket’ whilst having to rake medication fur already getting into a bed she was assured was feather free but wasn’t. really poor Marriott experience. No communication on requests, poor house keeping, bad job.
the bed was comfortable.
I could not use my paid internet service while in my room. $47 per night to park with no other options. No breakfast options that offered value.
What an unexpected gem! After a delayed flight required us to book a hotel, I randomly booked this Marriott Gateway because of its price, and that it had a pool for the kids.
First, it was such a convenient location. After a long travel day, it’s a simple 5 min free train ride from the airport.
The hotel was beautiful. My 3 year old son marveled at how clean it was lol The front desk staff was so welcoming and warm.
We ate at the Champions restaurant and I had the best fried chicken sandwich ever. Two bars on the property. Huge pool (a tad cold!).
Rooms were big, modern and clean.
We had a great time and even decided to shift our connecting flight another day and stay an extra night!
No breakfast, but dinner at the sports bar was good.
You need a full service coffee station that opens early.

* The Setup: Stayed 3 nights in connected 1 king + 2 double rooms during June, family.
* The Room & Sleep: The bed was comfortable, mattress is important to me - had good support, very clean. The room was quiet at night (sound proofed to the exterior GICC), occasional corridor noise during the day. The room’s black-out curtains worked well.
* The Bathroom: Water pressure was strong and cleanliness was excellent.
* Logistics & Wi-Fi: Check-in took 10-15 minutes. However, if you pre-book on the Marriott Bonvoy app, you can check-in within minutes pending time of arrival and room is ready. We had one room booked digitally and directly (was much more convenient) Wi-Fi was free.
* Location: A 10 minute walk to connect back to the airport on foot and via convenient GICC train. The area felt busy but safe.
* The Verdict: Offers decent value for the price. Best suited for travelers who prioritize location and comfort. The room HVAC blower air filters need to be cleaned and replaced.
The tram to the airport is located right next to the hotel. Everything was great, from the front desk, luggage attendant to the restaurant - friendly, helpful, and excellent service. The bed was also very comfortable.
I would definitely stay here again.
Great access from airport, you need to access train from domestic terminal. One stop and easy walk into hotel even with bags. As an Elite Marriott member it’s not acceptable to close the club lounge on a Friday at 12 and not open it until Monday. I paid for an exec room - they offer 750 points for the inconvenience- can’t get anything with that. Room as adequate but it’s noisy with doors banging with people checking in and out all through the night. Breakfast? You have to cross the street in the pouring rain to a different hotel, the Marriott renaissance where their “sister hotel” does the breakfasts for them - it’s not a buffet, it’s ala carte amd cost over $45.
Very good suite, nice night of sleep, and no noise from either airport or the monorail. Great option to stay at ATL to avoid shuttle bus mess. Monorail provides quick ride to the hotel from domestic terminal, and Marriott is right next door to the train entrance.
The club lounge offerings seemed to be below the line
Firstly the brand has changed and it is now Marriott. Great room, great staff and great bar. Everywhere was spotless.
