Pros:

Mooie ligging en fijn zwembad

Cons:

Matrassen waren erg hard.
Gelukkig kregen we op verzoek een top deck matras waardoor het iets beter werd.

Disappointing room and bed
Pros:

The room was big and airy.
The facilities looked good but unfortunately we were too busy exploring to make use of them
Ample buffett breakfast
The communal areas were pleasant and welcoming
Bathroom had a bidet.
Slippers were provided when we asked for them
Nice to have biscuits and water provided in the room

So why the rating of only 6!!
Two main reasons
1. We booked a room with a sea view and balcony. Sadly we had one of three rooms facing the sea which had a large concrete wall blocking the view if we actually sat on the balcony. We could see that all rooms to our left and apart from 2 rooms to our right all the rooms facing the sea had clear unobstructed views from their balconies. When we went to reception to ask why we had such a room we were told in a condescending and sarcastic manner that as we could see the sea and the hotel was full and as we were only staying for two nights there was nothing they could do. The room should not have been charged at the same rate as those with an unobstructed view - basically using our balcony was pointless.

2. Whilst we like a firm bed the mattresses were so hard that we might as well have slept on the floor. Hugely disappointing to have two very very uncomfortable nights sleep or rather lack of sleep.

More minor points -

Beakfast on our second morning seemed chaotic - perhaps ensuring all supplies are kept topped up at all times might help.

The carpeting in the corridors and rooms is uninviting. It's probably not that old but when it comes to renewal thought needs to be given to making it brighter and giving it a more luxurious feel.

The bath towels were old and frayed at the edges. The hand towels were newer and better quality.

Maybe for the facilities the hotel warrants a 4* rating but our experience overall was not what might be expected of a 4* hotel

Super Hotel mitten in Horta

Traumhafter Blick vom Balkon zum Pico, toller Pool und sehr zentrale Lage. Frühstück sehr gut.

Gute Lage, Pool

Cons:

Für den Kaffee musste man sich anstellen und ein mal gab es 15 Minuten keine Kaffeetassen, sie wurden gewaschen, alle mussten warten. Vor. 2 Uhr einchecken ist unmöglich, auch wenn das Zimmer fertig ist

Property is a bit older and could use some modernization. Except for the reception staff and housekeeping, we found this to be the only location on our entire Azoren trip where the staff were not all that friendly. Perhaps because it is a larger hotel with large groups and turnover everyday.

Tolle Lage, aber....

Das Personal ist freundlich. Der Aussenpool ist schön. Die Lage ist top.

Cons:

Das Frühstücksbuffet: Das Essen war OK, aber es fehlte immer an Tassen, Gläsern und Tellern. Müslischalen gab es gar nicht. Man merkte den anderen Gästen auch den Frust darüber an.
Im Haus war es recht laut, da die Türen sich nur laut schliessen lassen, zum Teil auch zugeknallt wurden. Bei der Zimmerreinigung wurde der Mülleimer vergessen und die Gläser wurden auch nicht ausgewechselt.

Superbe complexe à 2 pas de la Marina
Pros:

Complexe très bien situé, juste à l'arrière de la Marina (accès en 5 minutes à pied). Chambre correcte, beaucoup de choix pour le petit-déjeuner buffet. Piscine extérieure très agréable avec vue sur Pico.
