Location, staff lovely, restaurant and upper bar…. Perfect for looking over the race course.
Unfortunately the cleanliness of the hotel was good for what the cleaners had to work with.
Meaning the hotel is tired, rooms need updating, the back court yard was very messy, chairs just chucked on top of each other.
Restaurant back terrace looking over court yard with filthy and chairs also stacked in corner of room making it untidy.
Continental breakfast was sparing to say the least.
Just three choices of cereal and many rotten fruits….. 6 bananas I picked up all to which were black and soggy inside.
Milk was repeatedly empty but refilled when asked.
No pastries, fruit juice, jams cheese etc.
which I have had in most budget hotels.
Poor staff were run ragged with the poor way breakfast is run….. running back and forth to kitchen for things that should have been part of a continental breakfast.
A full English breakfast was £14 but then add on your fruit juice if you wished to have at £3+ if I can remember correctly.
The down stairs toilets paint coming if toilet walls…..
I’m only staying this as my truth but hoping management listen to my negative point and change them as this hotel could be so much better with some care, love and attention.
Will just add the full court yard as apartment, office and miller and carter sections forming a circle and all sections were messy and uncared for. Such a shame for a great space
Efficient staff, good location
Basic room, basic breakfast.
Breakfast was a continental, all the was was coffee tea and apple. Don't consider this continental
Close to city centre, roof top bar
Location was excellent
Breakfast - you had to pay extra for full English breakfast why, for the price paid it should of been included. Hotel parking was expensive compared to Chester racecourse car park why.
Bathroom curtains were covered in dust, you have to close the curtains so no one see you at night.
The bed was the most comfortable i have ever stayed at
Great location
Breakfast overcooked with long waiting
Shower tray blocked for 48 hours
nice room
liked everything
The location was perfect, the staff were friendly, the room was cleaned and maintained with tea, coffee, sugar, biscuits every day.
I knew this beforehand but when you book bed and breakfast it is only continental breakfast and you had to pay extra for a full breakfast I don’t think that this was the case last year. In my opinion booking bed and breakfast for a continental breakfast for what was offered was not value for money.
Location and views
The whole experience was very ungenerous: 1 car park £20 per day; 2 breakfast that was included was only continental, and not self service- strict limits: choose either cereal or croissant or etc, 3 one cup of tea/coffee and refills charged about £4, cooked breakfast £14 extra, and 4 not v generous portion either. If service was first class that might be acceptable, but it wasn’t. We waited 30 mins to be served tea/coffee on the balcony when there were two staff milling around and only two other guests, and the cup of coffee was spilled into saucer.
Great location friendly staff. Good secure carpark
Room temperature was too warm hardly slept because of it
View
No air conditioning
Location and staff good.
The room had only one chair at the desk or dressing table so it wasn’t comfortable for two people when not sleeping. Parking was additional when I had specifically booked a hotel with parking.
The beds are sooo comfy and the staff are lovely . I love all the little extras in the room the shower is great and the tea and coffees and biscuits love staying here
The parking isn’t the best
