Owner was very friendly and allowed us to check in an hour early. Room was spacious and bed comfortable. Continental breakfast was varied with fresh fruit, yogurt, pasteries, fruit juices, toast.... Very close to the beach and buse stop literally outside hotel
Nothing
Great location, clean and conformable. Very friendly and welcoming staff
Nothing
Family owned and operated. They were so helpful and chatty. Nothing too much trouble. Lovely people
Nothing
Lovely location, very clean and tidy, I had a spacious, double-aspect garden room. Very attentive welcome.
A little dated, but more than made up for by the welcome, overall ambience, and great location.
Friendly, professional, polite staff. Very efficient. We loved our room it was outstanding. Great location to beach. Pub and restaurant. A lovely continental breakfast. Had a great variety choice. Car parking on site. We couldn't have asked for any better.😄
There was not anything we disliked
Old and rustic
Nothing
We enjoyed the kindness, hospitality, comfort and cleanliness as well as the surroundings.
Well we CAN hear the comments made in the kitchen and peivate quarters about us and the ‘inconvenience’ caused by not coming together for breakfast. So maybe..quieter comments or not at all of the guests are generally nice, respectful, clean and orderly? :D
Close to the Port
The owner was pleasant on arrival
It was more like a guest house than a hotel
Far too expensive for what it was
Hungry and thirsty on arrival and no ability to order anything. Told to go to local pub three doors away which was closing.
Only offered continental breakfast we didn’t bother staying for it
Extortionate waste of money
The location is good for the beach, and the parking is useful
Where do I start? This was a very disappointing stay given the price paid for the room. The hotel is quaint but aging, with some areas needing decorating. The room was spacious, but the TV was old (not even HD) and the remote didn't work. The bathroom was dilapidated, with an old shower enclosure and a 20 year old electric shower with a scale dup heads and a leaky shower tray. Water pressure at the sink taps was meagre.
Breakfast was a basic cold buffet - with a sign emphasising they do not provide cooked food ("of any kind"), apart from toast.
Very friendly welcome. Very good information. Everything great!!
Nothing whatsoever.
Location is amazing. Quick walk to the Chine and straight into the sea. Breakfast was good with fresh fruit and yogurt and plenty of choice. Room was comfortable. Grovefield Manor is quite old fashioned in many ways. Quirky would be a good word to describe it, which is always fun.
It was extremely hot and the fan put into the room couldn't really cope. Shower is very noisy. We came back very late from a night safari on Brownsea Island and I hope we didn't disturb anyone when we showered.
Parkplatz auf dem Grundstück, gut organisiert.
Freundliches Personal. Wasser kostenlos.
Leider oft ausgebucht.
Location and lively old house
Checking in takes too long - friendly but going through a list is not necessary
