Atmosphere was lovely; decor French inspired. Fresh flowers in the reception area. Plan to return to Lyon next year.

Wonderfully located! Large public park across the street. Quiet. Bouchons a few minutes away by foot.

Comfortable peaceful and restful few days
Pros:

Excellent location. We could walk to most things we wanted, which were mainly restaurants of the Bouchon variety. Buses and Metro system good. The room was full of character with a good decor. The bed was very comfortable. We tried breakfast on the first day. Excellent choice of food but more than we could eat! We only wanted a coffee and croissant so we went to nearby cafes in Rue de la Charité as we were saving ourselves for dinner. We ate very well in a number of Bouchons Lyonnais. We had a good guided tour with Paul from Free Tours Lyon. We saw many alley ways and courtyards off the beaten track in the old city. Les Halles de Paul Bocouse are best visited other than on a Monday when we found 3/4 of the shops closed but we had a good lunch of oysters and prawns.

Cons:

There were noisy events at the weekend in the square by the hotel. But they didn't go on too late.

Beautiful building in a perfect location.
Pros:

The room was charming and comfortable. The breakfast was amazing! Homemade pastries and yogurt. There was a fantastic selection of GF and vegetarian/vegan options for breakfast. The staff was helpful with restaurant suggestions. You cannot beat the location for sightseeing, shopping, and restaurants!

Cons:

You have to be willing to stay in an historic building. Our room was cozy, but some would call it cramped. If you do not like claw-footed tubs with a handheld shower nozzle, you may want to look elsewhere.

Un hôtel pas comme les autres ou l'histoire et l'architecture se marient bien avec le confort.

L'acceuil très sympathique et très flexible par rapport au fait que nous avons dû changer de chambre suite à différents problèmes technique.

Cons:

Le petit déjeuner dans l'arrière salle de l'hôtel. Tout était bon, peut-être plus orienté sur une clientèle britannique que française, mais bon on s'adapte vite et avec le bon contact du personnel, on obtient toujours ce que l'on désir. Les pâtisseries maison sont divines ...

Close to the old town with old town charm.
Pros:

It was a very spacious room, stayed cool during a small heatwave of >33C .

Cons:

It was OK for me but people with mobility issues need to know that the elevator does not go to the ground so stairs are required.
