A beautiful, unique hotel in a perfect location.
Pros:

The hotel is in an excellent location to visit all the sights of Lyon, either by walking or public transport.
What makes the hotel unique is not only the hotel design and attention to detail, but the staff who are kind, welcoming and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The room we stayed in was like stepping back in time, but with all the modern necessities included.

Cons:

Unfortunately we didn’t choose the best days to stay weather wise and found the room cold on arrival. However this was quickly rectified by staff providing a heater, blanket and slippers.
It would also be useful to have a mini fridge in the room as a kettle is provided, but on collecting milk, there isn’t any where to keep it.
It’s also a little awkward not having a sink next to the toilet, as in room 8, but it isn’t a massive problem as the room overall is beautiful.
The small negatives really don’t detract from what is a stunning hotel with amazing staff, special mention to Stefania who is so helpful and kind.

Best of French hospitality, we’ll be back
Pros:

The room although small had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The breakfast was delicious. The staff were most attentive and very friendly. The location is in the centre of town and felt very safe. The hotel was very quiet even though it is in a busy location. Great restaurants and cafes close by and easy walking to wonderful shopping and galleries.

Wonderful historic hotel in perfect location
Pros:

The classic rooms were so interesting and full of history. This was a special hotel to stay at.
Stephanie and her colleague were incredibly warm and friendly hosts.

Cons:

A toaster for breakfast would have been good so could try the local preserves on offer.

Das Zimmer ist mit viel Liebe fürs Detail (z.B. Lichtschalter) frisch renoviert, in typisch französischem Stil (Blumentapeten, Samtvorhänge) und sehr gemütlich. Die Lage direkt beim Place Bellecour mit seinen diversen Metro- und Buslinien ist ideal. Vieles ist zu Fuss erreichbar (z.B. Vieux Lyon, das allerdings sehr touristisch ist, oder die Presqu’île) und sonst sind die verschiedenen Quartiere mit dem ÖV einfach zu erreichen. Das Frühstück ist sehr vielfältig und wird in einem sympathisch dekoriertem Raum serviert. Wir würden das nächste Mal in Lyon wieder im Hotel Bayard Bellecour übernachten.
