Prachtig luxe hotel in historisch gebouw midden in het centrum. Valet parking service.
Tussendeuren op de gang klappen hard dicht, dat stoort ‘s nachts. Mindervaliden ingang en de wandeling door een lege ontbijtzaal richting het restaurant doen afbreuk aan de grandeur. Restaurant l’Amale is oké maar maakt pretenties niet waar.
Personnel au petit soin pour notre anniversaire de mariage. Chambre agréable et spacieuse. Piscine très sympathique avec un spa très propre.

My room was enormous. The bathroom was enormous, as well. The hotel is very old from the outside, which I really liked. Very beautiful.
The carpet in the room needs updating. The room, in general, should be updated. The bathroom was updated and was beautiful.

I stayed here 12 or 13 years ago with my husband. Without online maps it was a bit difficult to find because it’s right in the middle of Rouen. This time it’s was a snap to find it. We loved everything about it then and I think it’s even lovelier now.
First, the location is absolutely unbeatable! Right in the beautiful and historic city of Rouen. You can walk to every place, and the GrosHorloge is just a short walk.
The hotel itself is in a historic and gorgeous old building. The rooms are great, with good space and amenities. Our families rooms were a bit apart from each other, and I enjoyed the twists and turns of the walk between. Ask for adjacent rooms if you don’t enjoy exploring the old hotel and just want convenience.
The breakfast, if you choose to eat here, is fantastic. I can’t imagine there could be more choice and we all were satisfied.
Staff is superb. Most all speak English and they are so kind, pleasant and helpful.
Best of all, the prices are quite reasonable for the location alone, but the additional services, history of the building and great staff make it a huge win. I’m glad I brought my family back.
Le bâtiment, l’architecture et l’emplacement central sont très appréciables. La chambre était également très bien. Une partie du personnel était charmante, efficace et très arrangeante.
La restauration laisse à désirer : le dîner du soir n’était pas à la hauteur d’un établissement 5 étoiles, et le petit-déjeuner a été catastrophique, avec peu ou pas de choix et une équipe complètement débordée. Une cliente de l’hôtel a même donné sa tasse à mon épouse, faute de vaisselle disponible… Une grosse réorganisation logistique s’impose.
The hotel had everything we wanted, and right in the centre, in a beautiful square just off the Place du Vieux Marché. It’s in a beautiful old palace but enjoys great modern comforts, including a lovely pool. Staff were all super friendly. We’d definitely return.

Just wrapped up an excellent stay at Hotel de Bourgtheroulde for my first time visiting Rouen. The location is outstanding -- making most of the sights within very easy walking distance. The room was spacious, clean, safe, and very comfortable -- everything you'd expect in a luxury property. The staff were friendly, sincere, and really made me feel like a valued guest. Tip: this is one of the properties where a courtyard view is a good thing as it overlooks a beautiful 16th century artifact.
The only thing that was less than stellar was the breakfast -- not bad, but not outstanding.
Rouen is a special city and this is a wonderful place to stay when you visit!
