Location was beautiful, the staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable.
The spotlight directly above the window made the room extremely light, it could benefit from blackout curtains. There wasn't much local information at reception, for instance attractions, bus times/stops etc.
We had one night here in August - it was a lovely location. Check in was very efficient, the room was very comfortable and the bathroom modern. Free breakfast was a nice touch and plenty of continental style food to choose from.
For what we paid on an offer I couldn't fault it, because we were upgraded from the Lodge to Hotel and we didn't ask for it. Therefore it was a lovely treat for us.
The male worker in the breakfast room was very friendly, professional, polite and hardworking and managed the turn around of tables very efficiently.
We will definitely be visiting The Old Mill again because the scenery, location and accessibility to the town centre definitely met more than our expectations with a lovely scenic walk along the canal. We loved the Oldy Wirley character and the peace and quiet.
Lovely place to stay to be near Bath town centre.
No cooked breakfast
Absolutely gorgeous. Views were amazing and seating right next to river. Hotel room was so comfortable and the staff were lovely.
Only thing I would say brought it down at all was the quality of the food, and the presentation.
Unfortunately not great, we we checked out just over an hour after checking in as the rooms at the lodges were very uncomfortable, bed were tiny and facilities not good. The advert for the hotel and lodge are misleading, it should make it very clear that the lodges are absolutely not 3 star.
The location was lovely, nice and quiet not too far from city centre
Tired hotel, needs updating , would stay again but would like to be in the hotel not the anex
Yhe room was terrible, way too small and grubby, a very depressing room in the "lodge". Bathroom was also small. They also charged 10 pounds for parking in the middle of no where which was not mentioned at checkin. There was also a leak in the lobby ceiling with a bucket under it.
The location next to the river
The building was very tired, internally and externally
No AC
Not very clean - Bed looked like it had already been slept in. Black mark on pillow. Food on the bedroom floor. Bin not emptied.
Lots of flies in the bathroom
Toilet flush very weak
No shower gel in dispenser
Plug switch fell off when turning it on.
We asked for new towels - not provided
Trouble with the key on more than one occasion
Fire alarm sounded without any warning
Staff (apart from the gentleman on evening shift) were abrupt and unhelpful… people queuing at reception and receptionist outside on her phone having a cigarette. Receptionist couldn’t answer about parking options in city, so we advised other guests.
Was offered parking and told it was £10 for the entire stay, confirmed we would like parking, gave reg… when we came back in the evening there were no spaces. We were told to park out on the main road. We were told the charge would be wavered but on check out was told that they may still take it, as nothing on our details. (Not charged as yet - but lack of communication)
Paid for breakfast - it was awful. Cheap ham slices, boiled eggs, cheese slices. Croissants a little stale. Cereals in dispenser, which was mainly crumbs. Coffee was in a flask, tasted awful. Went out for breakfast the next morning.
