It was a typical Hyatt Place. Breakfast choices were better than usual. Great location! Half a mile walk to light rail that goes to airport. Rooms were clean and big enough. The only negative was having to pay $25+ to check I. Early as a Discoverist. I’ve never had to do that. We had a two year old who needed a nap after an early flight. I felt the front desk staff were not very accommodating or empathetic. By the book!

Location was good as it was less than a 10 minute walk to the Space Needle, Chihuly Gardens, Museum of Pop Culture, Children's Museum and Science Center. Felt like we were in a relatively safe area of town. Check in was fast and efficient. Room was as advertised, big with comfy beds, sheets and pillows. Shower pressure was good and towels were of good quality. Loved having the big screen tv that would swivel so you could watch it from sectional couch or the beds. They had a mini fridge to keep our drinks and leftovers cold. Breakfast was solid with plenty of hot options but can be quite busy on the weekends. Tried out the fitness center and had a few treadmills and cross trainers as well as Peloton bikes. They had some free weights and one multi faceted upper body workout machine. Only thing missing was a pool and there aren't a lot of restaurants in the immediate area. Enjoyed our stay and wouldn't hesitate to recommend this to anyone needing a few nights lodging.
It is close to Space Needle and Seattle Center
The elevators get really busy in the morning. The cleaning staff uses the same elevators as the guests which chokes the elevator system during rush hour. The breakfast is good but super crowded and noisy when everyone gets there at the same time and the kitchen does tu. Out of the delicious omelettes
Close proximity to Seattle attractions. View from the room was very nice specially with Needle. Great breakfast, nice and clean rooms.
Parking fees is extraordinarily high compared with the rates of nearby places.
Clean facility inside and outside. Rooms and beds were comfortable plus everything worked.
Now my reasons for less stars.
They need to provide accurate information. I booked online using my World of Hyatt information. During my booking I requested an early check-in. Email and App responses post booking indicated that my request was successfully submitted. Upon arrival and during my check-in process I was informed that there's an additional fee associated with early check-in. At no point during the four months between reservation and check-in did I receive any notification that early check-in had an associated fee/cost. Nor was there anything listed during my online booking process indicating any additional costs, fees or charges for early check-in. This is extremely aggravating and upsetting! Give full information and allow individuals to make a decision. This process of having tired customers who've been traveling for hours and we're now at your counters doing our check-in and we're then information that if you want to get into your room to rest, then "there's an additional fee for that." Make the fee information known. Then I'll decide if I want to stay here, book elsewhere or change my travel plans. To be informed of fees at the last part of the process or sit in your hotel lobby on uncomfortable chairs for four plus hours is ridiculous 🙄 and disappointing 😞!
Hotel claimed my PRE-PAID reservation didn't exist, so charged me a second time for the same room, of course at a much higher rate. Manager did not have the courtesy to return my phone calls (yes, multiple phone calls), and I never received any satisfaction. Currently I'm disputing the charge, so hopefully I'll get my money back that way. Instead of being helpful and returning my money voluntarily, Hyatt will pay the charge-back fees with their bank! So stupid of them...
Location and Hyatt Brand
Just 2 elevators you had to wait
Very clean and open! Amazing staff
Check in/ parking was a little confusing with key card elevator
great location: next to space needle, walking distance to virtually everywhere. ample free parking for Sundays and holidays. Excellent front desk staff. great breakfast.
Centrally located to the Space Needle. About a 20 minute walk to the Pier area. Nice breakfast with staff who cared about the patrons who were dining there. Front desk staff was very helpful particularly with regards to less expensive options for parking.
Close to attractions we wanted to see & had shuttle services available to other areas.
The front staff is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. We were there for 6 nights and every single front staff person was kind and helpful and friendly. Really made the whole stay. The breakfast was very good and provided a few different options each day. Very accessible to places and public transportation. The bed was comfy!
While it was overall a great experience, I only have two things to call out. Upon arrival the bottom of the toilet (ground level) was absolutely disgusting and looked like it had not been cleaned in a very long time. And the pull couch the kids slept on was not very comfortable (but kind of expected for a pullout couch).
