A convenient spot to stay for a night.
Pros:

Good location not far from the city and a good pub with good food just across the road. Room was spacious and parking was ample. Was very secure which was important as a solo traveller.

Cons:

The room was maybe a little tired. Everything worked fine.

Good hotel close to the Gabba
Pros:

Check in was super easy. Rooms were spacious and clean. I loved the full size fridge/freezer and the balcony. The bathroom came fully equipped with toiletries. The bed was comfy with different pillow options and a spare blanket. I liked that there was a split system and a ceiling fan. There is a small TV mounted near the ceiling, I did not use it but felt it would be awkward to watch.
The hotel is a short walk from the Gabba and Mowbray ferry terminal (I recommend using the ferry to get across Brisbane, Google didn't even give it as an option).

Cons:

Not much to criticise. The building is a bit old and the rooms could do with a spruce up with chipped paint and some cheap fittings. The sound proofing is also poor but this is a problem with most hotels!

Suited our needs for one night.

Nice pool (not heated)
Staff very friendly.
Just 15 mins walk to closest water taxi stage.
Restaurant across the road.

Cons:

Room & bathroom very dated (but clean)
On a very busy road (side rooms may be quieter)
The restaurant and bar closed down recently. No food on site.

Cons:

Das zur Strasse ausgerichtete Zimmer war aufgrund der nicht besonders schallisolierten Balkontüren nachts etwas laut.

Loved the proximity to river transport.
Pros:

For the price the Facility was very well prepared for our arrival. It was especially clean. The staff were very accommodating and helpful. They admitted that it needs a little bit of an overhaul in terms of maintenance but there was nothing that was an impairment to our stay. It was a pleasant introduction to Brisbane for me as it was my first visit. It is also close to a few facilities like supermarkets and cafes. Suggestion for improvement is that a little list of these facilities would be helpful to a visitor who doesn’t know the roads so a map would be helpful.
