Based on local tax laws, Peruvian citizens (and foreigners staying more than 59 days in Peru) must pay an additional fee of 18%. To be exempt from this 18% additional fee (IVA), a copy of the immigration card and passport must be presented.

Colazione ottima, preparata al momento. Letti comodi, camera silenziosa. Josè alla reception davvero carino, ci ha dato molti consigli riguardo ai piatti tipici e alle zone da visitare. Torneremo sicuramente!

Vale la pena, me volveria a hospedar aqui solo por el desayuno, es excelente.
Pros:

El hotel con mejor desayuno de todo Peru, la ubicación excelente a unos pasos de la plaza de armas, aunque eso represente tener unos homeless por las noches. La habitación es pequeña pero cómoda, el baño excelente espacioso.

Cons:

Por las noches siempre habia una persona pidiendo dinero a la par del hotel.

Ottima struttura, accogliente e curata, in centro ad Arequipa.
Pros:

Posizione eccellente vicino al centro. Colazione molto buona. Staff gentile. Camere dotate di stufetta per un maggiore comfort.

Cons:

I letti singoli della camera doppia sembravano un po’ più corti delle misure tradizionali. Comunque si è dormito molto bene lo stesso.

The hotel was great and we would recommend it and book again.
Pros:

Location, comfortable rooms, breakfast was great. Tea and coffee available 24/7.

Cons:

Cable TV didn’t work the first night but it was resolved the next day.

We would have liked some food and beverage service at the terrace in the evenings. It’s just a suggestion.

An excellent base in the centre of Arequipa
Pros:

Overall, I would rate Hotel Los Tambos very highly. The location - just a minute's walk from the Plaza de Armas - is perfect. The room itself was very nice, with a spacious balcony area around the back, a nice bathroom, comfortable bed etc.. José on the desk was also a superstar - very friendly with good local recommendations, and allowed me to practice my Spanish with him!

Cons:

Two very small downsides: I found a few of the staff to be not-so-friendly (for example, I had a minor issue with the room lock and they were a bit grumpy about it). I also felt that the breakfast (while nice in and of itself) was quite limited in terms of options. However, overall, these are really small points and I would highly recommend staying here.

Great stay with great breakfast near plaza de Armas
Pros:

Wonderful hotel close to Plaza de Armas. I had a nice room withavery comfortable bed. The hotel has a couple terraces with view to volcano. Breakfast is not buffet style, they make something of your choice on demand and also have the option to make a togo breakfast if you delart early for a tour. The staff was very nice and helpful. The city is very dry and the rooms were extremelly dry,which is a common/natural problem there.
