Alles! Wir waren schon in vielen Hotels in Griechenland, aber dieses war wirklich das Schönste, das wir je besuchen durften.
Vom Design, dem geräumigen Zimmer, dem mehr als freundlichen und zuvorkommenden Service (mit Liegen-Service) bis hin zum sehr leckeren Essen: es war perfekt!
Der Strandabschnitt ist sehr ruhig und es war wirklich immer noch eine Liege frei. Rundum alles perfekt für einen schönen und erholsamen Urlaub.
Vielen Dank - wir werden auf jeden Fall zurückkommen.

Wasted 5000€ on this hotel, this is NOT a 5-star luxury resort, but a SCAM

The staff tries their hardest to make due with the terrible conditions, but are not trained at a 5-star level.

The cleaners don't come, or enter the room when the privacy sign is up, the kitchen staff mishandles food, the coffee and drinks never arrive (plus the cocktails are bad), there is no concierge, the guest relations lady was pushy and aggressive, the spa staff is not trained at high standard, etc.

Despite that, everyone is trying their hardest and are really nice, and I am sorry that these nice people have to work in these conditions.

Cons:

SCAM - I have no idea how this hotel has such high reviews, and wouldn't be surprised if they are paid/bots.

This is NOT a 5-star luxury resort, but it is advertised and priced as a 5-star luxury resort. If you've ever been to a real 5-star luxury resort (such as the JW Marriott, Four Seasons, Mandarin Oriental, Bulgari Dubai, etc.) then you will be extremely disappointed, and will be looking for a refund.

The hotel and service is maybe that of a basic 2 or 3 star family hotel near the beach, which was refurbished to look a bit fancy and has great pictures (congratulations to the photographer for making this mess look like a luxury resort).

I tried to list my issues but there are so many that I'm going over the word count. The short version is that the property does not match what is advertised and is not up to standard (we found heavy dust, cobwebs, mold, rust, blood, insect carcasses, drug paraphernalia, exposed wiring, equipment past inspection dates, unsafe handling of food, unauthorized access of the room, and much much more).

At this point we are requesting a refund and contacting authorities, this was the worst hotel experience we ever had.

Our stay at Asterion Suites & Spa was simply exceptional and truly felt like coming home.

We initially stayed for three nights, but after an unpleasant experience elsewhere on the island, we found ourselves returning to Asterion because we genuinely missed it. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with open arms by Manolis and Mike at reception, who consistently went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect throughout our stay.

The hospitality at this hotel is outstanding. Special highlight and big thank you to the Service Manager Manolis and his restaurant team made every meal feel special. Rosa, Maria and Kostas were incredibly kind, attentive and always remembered our preferences. Every member of staff treated us like family, creating a warm and personal atmosphere from the first day until the last.

The breakfast was fresh, varied and delicious every single day. On one occasion, when we had to leave very early for a hike, the chef spontaneously offered to prepare a lunch box for us. This level of care and thoughtfulness perfectly reflects the service culture throughout the hotel. Nothing was ever too much trouble.

We were also impressed by the impeccable cleanliness of the hotel. Our room was beautifully maintained every day, and the entire property was spotless. Even the gardeners took great pride in maintaining the beautiful surroundings, always greeting guests with a smile.

Last but not least, a special thank you to Ekaterina from Guest Relations, who was always present, approachable and genuinely interested in making every guest’s stay memorable.

The location is excellent for exploring the western part of Crete, making it an ideal base for travelers who enjoy discovering the island. Combined with the exceptional service, outstanding cleanliness and genuine hospitality, Asterion Suites & Spa delivered one of the most memorable hotel experiences we have ever had.

To the entire team: thank you for making us feel so welcome.

Exceptionnel
Pros:

Nous avons passé un très agréable séjour dans cet hôtel Adults Only. La chambre était spacieuse, très confortable et parfaitement entretenue. La salle de bain était impeccable, moderne et fonctionnelle. Nous avons particulièrement apprécié le grand balcon avec vue sur la mer, un vrai plus pour profiter du cadre exceptionnel.

Les infrastructures sont également de grande qualité : la piscine est magnifique, très agréable pour se détendre, et l’accès à la plage privée apporte un véritable sentiment d’exclusivité.

Concernant le petit-déjeuner, il était copieux et assez varié, avec un large choix de produits de qualité. C’est toutefois le seul point qui pourrait être amélioré. Compte tenu du standing de l’établissement et du tarif pratiqué, nous aurions apprécié la présence de quelques options à la carte en complément du buffet, comme cela est proposé dans d’autres hôtels de catégorie similaire.

Malgré ce détail, notre expérience a été très positive. Le confort des chambres, la qualité des installations et l’emplacement privilégié en bord de mer font de cet hôtel une excellente adresse pour un séjour reposant et agréable entre adultes.

Cons:

Concernant les points à améliorer, le principal concerne le ménage de la chambre. Dans l’ensemble, celui-ci m’a semblé un peu en dessous du niveau attendu pour un établissement de cette catégorie.

Le tapis de sortie de douche n’a été fourni que le premier jour. Une fois retiré lors du ménage, il n’a jamais été remplacé durant le reste du séjour, ce qui m’a obligée à utiliser une serviette en guise de tapis.

J’ai également remarqué que certaines zones n’étaient pas nettoyées avec suffisamment d’attention : du sable est resté plusieurs jours sur le balcon et des traces ainsi que des taches sur la table de la kitchenette sont restées présentes pendant toute la durée de mon séjour, malgré les passages quotidiens du personnel.

Enfin, le savon pour les mains dans la salle de bain n’a jamais été réapprovisionné une fois le distributeur vide, ce qui est un détail mais qui participe au confort attendu dans ce type d’établissement.

Ce ne sont pas des problèmes majeurs, mais ce sont des points qui mériteraient d’être améliorés afin que l’expérience soit pleinement à la hauteur de la qualité générale de l’hôtel.
