I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with the service I received on the night of 11 May. The receptionist on duty displayed behaviour that was completely unacceptable — rude, arrogant, dismissive, and entirely unwilling to help.
We have stayed at Van der Valk hotels across Belgium for years and have always appreciated the high standard of service your brand is known for. Unfortunately, this location — and specifically this staff member — fell shockingly below those standards.
The conduct we experienced was not only unprofessional but disrespectful. It left us feeling unwelcome and undervalued as guests. Because of this incident, we will not be booking at this hotel again, and we will be reconsidering our loyalty to this branch altogether.

So disappointing !!! After 4 hours drive, I arrived at the hotel, but it was overbooked, there were no room available that matched what I had booked. I am so disappointed with the hotel service, I had to cancel my stay.
Hotel overbooked for holiday season. I highly recommend to call the hotel before coming to confirm your reservation and get what you paid for.
Nette, mooi gerenoveerde en voldoende ruime kamer. Prima badkamer met zowel bad als douche. Full-length spiegels. Goede koffie- en theefaciliteiten in de kamer plus gratis gearomatiseerd water aan de receptie. De badbom was ook een leuke verrassing. Het hele hotel doet wat resort-achtig aan met meerdere restaurants, een (te betalen) wellness en een prachtige, grote speeltuin voor de kinderen (wat mij verraste gezien de locatie, die toch echt meer motel-achtig is). Vriendelijke stagiair bij check-out.
Gordijnen zijn te kort om de kamer volledig te kunnen verduisteren. Uitzonderlijk lawaaierige airco en de voorbijrazende treinen zijn goed hoorbaar tot in de kamer. Twee eenpersoonsbedden moeten dienst doen als tweepersoonsbed en er liggen niet zo'n comfortabele kussens op. De essentie van een goed hotel - een goede nachtrust - wordt door die factoren toch wat onderuitgehaald, vandaar mijn lagere score.
Verder slechts één lift voor heel wat kamers en een behoorlijk kille ontvangst aan de receptie.
