If staying in Newtownmore, just book. Great choice if tired after a week’s hike.
Pros:

Stayed here on my last night after hiking The Speyside Way. The last part of the hike from Aviemore is a little uninspiring and Newtonmore is a little quiet. But if you are staying there I would highly recommend this hotel. The staff are lovely. Very friendly. Just keep it simple and book food there. Food is very good and service excellent. The room was a highlight. Think it had the best bathroom of any hotel I stayed in all week. Nice to have some space when you are pretty tired after a tough hike. Really handy for train station the next day.

Cons:

Location adds a few minutes to the hike but in the morning it works out and leaves you with a shorter walk (about 10 minutes only) to the train station.

Couldn’t sleep due to noise from room facing main road.
Pros:

Good location in Cairngorms. Breakfast had hot à la carte items made to order.

Cons:

Our room was facing the road and very noisy as the room was very hot so we had to keep the windows open.

Sehr einfache und zuvorkommende Kommunikation!
Das Hotel ist sehr sauber.
Sehr bequeme Betten.
Sehr gutes Toastbrot und guter Kaffe zum Frühstück.

Cons:

Das der untere Teil der Fenster nicht geöffnet werden kann. Bei den warmen Temperaturen die eir hatten, wäre das schon fein gewesen.
Wählt man Tomaten zum Frühstück: landen Tomaten aus der Dose am Teller.

Nice, comfortable accommodation
Pros:

Nice accommodation above quiet town pub. Nice cooked breakfast with choices. Dinner in pub great and fitted us in at short notice. Not many food choices in this area. Eating places further north in Aviemore very busy and need prior bookings.
Nice spot to spend a few days while doing hikes in area.

Cons:

A little pricey however not uncommon for accommodation in this area.
