The location is 👍

Cons:

The rooms were in disarray and full of dust; the curtains were dirty, had fallen down, and were stained with something; the bathroom had mold; the walls hadn't been cleaned; the taps were encrusted with green limescale; the refrigerator was uncleaned; the coffee machines were leaking water and still contained used capsules; and the windows looked as though they hadn't seen water or a sponge in a year. Breakfast was extremely meager, and the coffee machine in the breakfast room was set not to make coffee, but rather some sort of water that merely smelled like coffee.The bathroom socket and hair dryer aren't working.
It's a shame I can't upload a video showing what the rooms actually look like.

Pros:

Todo bien, camas confortables, ropa de cama, toallas limpias. Muy cerca de los puntos turísticos. El dueño fue muy gentil y nos ayudó con todo lo que necesitábamos, taxi, tour, etc

Vorsicht geboten – leider sehr enttäuschend

Leider praktisch alles. Die Lage, Hotel und Personal...
Im Zimmer waren an mehreren Stellen deutliche Schimmelspuren, unter anderem rund um die Klimaanlage und im Badezimmer. Die Dusche war ebenfalls verschimmelt und die Duschtür ließ sich nicht richtig schließen.

Im Kühlschrank befanden sich verdorbenes bzw. verschimmeltes Essen vom vorherigen Gast sowie mehrere angebrochene Wasserflaschen. Die Kaffeemaschine war wegen alter Kapseln/Tabs vom vorherigen Gast nicht benutzbar. Außerdem fanden wir angebrochene Seifen, staubige alte Decken und ein beschädigtes Bügeleisen im Schrank.

Hinzu kam erheblicher Lärm: Morgens wurden wir ohne vorherigen Hinweis durch den sehr lauten Muezzinruf geweckt. In der Nacht gab es außerdem über längere Zeit extrem lautes Hupen direkt vor dem Hotel.

Aufgrund der Zustände mussten wir vorzeitig auschecken. Uns wurde zugesagt, dass wir dazu innerhalb kurzer Zeit eine E-Mail erhalten würden. Auf diese E-Mail warten wir bis heute.

Besonders enttäuschend war für uns auch die Aussage, was wir denn von einem Standardzimmer erwarten würden. Wir haben bewusst nur ein Standardzimmer gebucht – aber wir erwarten selbstverständlich trotzdem Sauberkeit, Hygiene und ein schimmelfreies Zimmer. Für diese grundlegenden Dinge sollte man keine höhere Zimmerkategorie buchen müssen.

Auch die Fotos auf Booking.com vermitteln aus unserer Sicht einen deutlich anderen Eindruck vom Hotel und seiner Umgebung.

Insgesamt war der Aufenthalt für uns leider eine sehr enttäuschende Erfahrung.

Muy bueno
Pros:

El alojamiento es tal cual como aparece en las fotos. El personal fue muy amable y atento. Uno de los recepcionistas incluso me ayudó a pedir comida, ya que llegamos bastante tarde por la noche y los restaurantes de los alrededores ya estaban cerrados.

La limpieza estuvo bien y, sobre todo, la ubicación es excelente, muy cerca de la Puerta de Damasco y de Garden Tomb (la Tumba del Jardín), lo que resulta muy conveniente para visitar la ciudad.

Cons:

El balcón no está muy cuidado y luce algo sucio, por lo que podría mejorar bastante con un poco de mantenimiento y limpieza.

Durante nuestra estancia, solo hubo servicio de desayuno un día. El resto de los días el desayuno estuvo cerrado. Supongo que pudo deberse a la poca ocupación del alojamiento, pero habría sido bueno saberlo con antelación o contar con el servicio durante toda la estancia.
