Lovely place run by lovely people
Room was lovely. Good size for single occupancy.
Food was first class.
Not sure my room had been hoovered as there was a lot of grass and some debris on the carpet.
very friendly staff and well presented
got charged £52.75 on my bill which is food and drinks me nor my wife ordered very disappointing that this can happen .happily the receptionist dealt with it professionally and refunded me the amount above.
The location
Whilst I accept the hotel allowing dogs to stay at the hotel I was disappointed that the hotel allows guests to leave their dogs in the room alone. We experienced a dog barking whilst left alone. We did report this to hotel staff and were informed they do allow dogs to be in the guests room alone. This is not detailed on the hotel website, this should be made clear.
Lovely setting, beautifully maintained garden and rooms. Spacious comfortable rooms. Liked different relaxing areas - outside, conservatory, games room, bar area
Nothing
All was well except dinner on first evening was poor. I am told it was much better on the following day but we went elsewhere. Location & garden seating area are the main strength along with rooms and in our case the view.
See above, roast dinner was very poor, more £10.00 than almost £30.00. England losing in the semi final was a draw back .....
Breakfast was good with a large selection of choices available.
Dinner in restaurant was good for the one night we dined their but we felt that the menu choices were not for our liking.
Room was clean and serviced daily and all comforts were available, view from room was to die for.
Dinner menu was limited to our likes, some of the food on menu was a little too fussy.
Staff were exceptional, welcoming helpful ,going over and beyond . Food was excellent, Location was amazing with a bus stop right outside, every 20 minutes so no need to use my car during our short stay. Lots of comfortable seating areas and bar available all day. Keswick was lovely with Theatre by the Lake a real bonus. Boat trip was lovely and good value
Room was a bit small and bathroom very small. I could have booked a more expensive room but went for the cheapest so my choice really. No lift. One flight of stairs, so manageable but not desirable Staff very helpful with luggage etc
It was very good.
Would need shower mat and hand rails
Great location, staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good
Stained bedding. Ran out of the food that came with the burger in the bar so that wasn't particularly good value for money
The Staff were lovely hard working very accommodating, Marie the manager is such a lovely thoughtful lady very hard working
Nothing it was perfect
Great location
No hot water on first morning and slow service for meals and drinks
Location, garden, peace
No air conditioning, no instructions how to switch off underfloor heating, no space in bathroom
Lovely breakfast, excellent dinner, attentive staff, nothing was too much trouble, short easy drive into Keswick. Free off-street private parking.

Very well presented hotel with friendly staff, excellent facilities in a quiet location. Beautifully maintained garden.
The washbasin in the bathroom was very slow to drain and the toilet bowl was loose on the floor.
